I called for a quote for a dryer plug replacement and the person answering the phone quickly pointed out a cheaper and easier option. Exchanging the power cable to the dryer would be easier and can be a DIY. I took her advice and switched the power cord. It's great to see honest.. I'll probably go with this company from now on as a repeat customer.

Very happy with the service David just provided. I had replaced some old switches that had yellowed over the years (the main reason is that one of them stopped working altogether) but after I did my DIY is when the lights stopped working as it should. I figured I had mis-wired something or knocked something loose. And that's the reason why I decided to call the professionals. David showed up and quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it likety split. I made a mistake with one of the switch replacements, but instead of teasing or shaming for my mistake he taught a little more about home electrical wiring. He was very friendly and very professional. I was worried that this job was going to be a can of worms where I was going to try to get upsold, but that couldn't have been further from what happened. I will be calling on EOC again for my future home electrical needs!

Electrician on Call has done many repairs and modifications for us in recent years... all 5-stars. This time, our HVAC system had been out of service for a year during remodeling and our thermostat became inoperable. It would work sporadically and then shut off. Dave traced the issue to a broken wire making an intermittent contact in less than 20-minutes, so all we had to pay was the diagnostic fee!

We had gotten the name of Electrician on Call from a friend of ours. I am so glad I asked as the entire process was great.

First, setting up the appointment was great. Ally (the only person we spoke with from the office) always picks up the phone quickly and we were never put on hold. I told Ally what we needed and she helped us get her the necessary information (a few uploaded photos as to where some of the work needed to be done). She immediately contacted me back to schedule an appointment, and was very patient as my wife and I went back and forth on dates and times we would be available. Almost immediately after we scheduled a time/date I received a confirmation email followed by a very detailed invoice of the work to be done (find out why an outlet wasn't getting power / replace three receptacles / install an outlet on our back porch) and the per unit cost.
The day of the work - We had been provided a two-hour window for when we could expect the workmen (they sent 2, and I which I remembered their names so I could praise them individually), and they got to the house within the two-hour window (just barely, but they were on time). We gave the workmen a tour of the work that needed to be done and they got right to work. They were shockingly efficient and were done with all three projects in well less than an hour.
I would not hesitate for a second to use them again, and they are now on our referral chain.

ADDENDUM - When the bar-light in our laundry room suddenly stopped working based on our past experience with EOC, there was only one place to turn. Ally was on it and asked us to send pics of the location as well as the new light we had purchased. She got us a quote late on Thursday night and we were able to get an appointment on Friday afternoon. Late on Friday afternoon, I contacted Ally to see when the electrician would be coming. She informed me that the electrician had come and gone. He had rung the doorbell and, when nobody came to the door, he left his card. I was shocked as our dogs generally bark like mad when anyone comes near the door, and we had three adults at the house all afternoon. but when my wife when to the door, sure enough, there was the card. However, all was not lost. Rather than having us reschedule, Ally had the electrician return after another call, and in no time, light on, wife happy.

Dave is amazing. We called because a trade professional told us we had a bad breaker. Dave arrived at the exact time he said he would arrive, diagnosed the problem (which wasn't the breaker) within minutes and had the issue repaired very soon after. He obviously has a world of knowledge and experience, but he also is utterly patient and took time to explain the issue with me in terms that were great for someone like me who doesn't know much about electricity. All this was done at a price less than other estimates I got. I couldn't be happier with this service.

David and Tony were super knowledgeable! The overall quote was cheaper than 3 other places I consulted with (free consultation was a huge plus). They finished the work with great workmanship and minimal incisions to the wall/ceiling so that I don’t have to call over a handyman to patch the walls asap! Received a consultation for dining room chandelier, burying wires behind tv (different studs), and install new wiring in patio for two fans & a TV as well as installing the said fans and TV. Overall job was done in less than a 3 week time frame which only took longer since I had to wait for my fans and chandeliers to arrive.

Man I love these guys. David came out to install some under cabinet lights and did a fantastic job. While he was here I commented that the downstairs AC was having a hard time keeping up in the afternoons. He said he would look into it when e was done with the lights. Seems he does it all! We just had an interlock switch installed for our generator by Electrician on Call (EOC) and it was the best experience we have had with any professional. David also took the time to explain everything thoroughly, answered all our questions, tested the generator and showed us how to properly operate the switch with the generator. We also had another issue with a couple outlets in the house not working properly and David fixed that too. I will absolutely call EOC in the future and recommend them to everyone I know. Dave is an awesome electrician! He has added several electrical circuits at our house including a transfer switch for the generator. I called them this company because they seemed good since they post pictures of their work with pride. I was greeted by a lady who seemed frustrated to begin with. After a short conversation where I tried to be a pleasant person because she seemed annoyed when she picked up. When I couldn’t get a election for my time sensitive repair(booked up, which is a sign of a good company) I said well damn, “guess I gotta call someone else”, I was genuinely disappointed, she said “yeah” then I said “thank you for your time” got no response, then said “have a good day goodbye” and she just just hung up. I’m not a big stickler for customer service but I am big on keeping my frustration focused on the cause of my frustration not on random customers. The phone woman really just needs to be reminded that or told that. No need to be rude or unpleasant in a customer service position unless the customer is being a jerk.

Dave is a consummate professional. Not only did he and his team put up six fans and three light packages in one afternoon at our house, he also fabricated the extension of our outdoor fan to perfection.

We bought a 12 foot extension for our patio fan. Once we unboxed it with the fan, it was obvious it was too long. My wife then visited three big box stores to get a shorter extension. She had no luck finding anything close to what we needed. Then Dave casually says: “No problem, I’ll just fabricate a shorter extension from your long one”. In less than 30 minutes, the fan’s up and working.

First time using Electrician On Call, but definitely not the last. Prompt, personable and professional, Owner Dave is experienced and exceptional at his craft. He installed a media box to house the transformer for a new picture frame tv, cutting the drywall and moving power as well as installing a new power outlet in my wife’s closet. David and Tony installed a Nest doorbell for me and replaced six outlets. I was beyond impressed at the quality of work and professionalism. David went above and beyond to help me get the Google Home app working on my phone for the new doorbell. I ended up needing to replace less outlets than I had originally thought because David tested them and explained everything thoroughly. In the 14 years I’ve lived in my home Electrician on Call is the best electrician I have worked with, and I will be using them again.

This was my first experience with EOC. I dealt specifically with Ally in the office and David at my house. Both were very professional and thorough. The job was completed very quickly and all leftover materials were removed from my home. David even vacuumed each work area after completion.
