Dont waste your tine with Dan. Paid for a shower touch up, (posting photo) of how he left it. He was supposed to return to fix, he never showed up or answed text. Doesn't listen to direction. Paid him to epoxy porch. Turned out to be a nightmare, overuse of glitter pieces, didn't clean up after job; got paint on door, etc. Having to pay someone to come and re-fix several things Dan was paid to fix. Not a good experience.

Great and easygoing, he provided excellent service and fixed the door frame as fast as possible. Brought all supplies with him and even did all the cleaning. 5 out of 5 stars.

Dan was great! He was professional, on time, and great with communication about his estimated arrival time. He took care of two small jobs in our kitchen within 20 minutes! He'll be our go-to handyman from here and on!

My commode was leaking on a Sunday. He was nice enough to come over and take a look. It was OLD and needed a new one. I have 2 bathrooms, so no problem. Took care of everything on Monday and left no mess.

I needed my front door frame repaired asap and Dan was able to come out the same day I called on a Sunday! He did a great job with the repair, was a fair price, and even replaced my door lock as well. Highly recommend!

I hired Dan back in January. My wife had had a stroke and while she was recovering in a rehabilitation center. I was told I needed to make my bathroom handicap friendly so to speak. I had no clue who to call for something like that. And on such short notice as well. So I was speaking with my neighbor, Mr. Schlinke, one day and I told him about my situation. First words out of his mouth where" You should call Dan, he can do absolutely everything involved with residential repair and remodeling" So with no other options on the table, I gave him a call. I think the pictures speak for themselves. Not only did he do an outstanding job as far as quality of work goes, but he worked day and night to get it completed before my wife would come home from rehab. Needless to say, she was thrilled when she got home and saw the new bathroom.

I am a retired general contractor for new homes, and have lots of experience with tradesmen. Honesty is most important. Quality of work is also important. Keeping appointments, letting you know if they're running late, doing the work reasonably quickly are all important. Dan Handy (in Dallas) is very good and dependable at a range of construction skills, without the headaches.

Had high hopes for this guy.... We had 2 jobs lined up in a row for him to complete. With many more we woulda loved to pay him a premium price to do. First off he let's us know last second that he's going to be over 2 hrs late to the first client. Then proceeds to not show up and also ghosts the client. I understand sometimes you miss stuff and that's whatever but then he has his second appointment the same day, the clients get ahold of him when he's already 2 hrs late and he says he's "45 min out" and then proceeds to stand up client #2 for the day. Crazy that you would flush over $500 down the drain for easy work and $1500 of more work we were willing to pay him. This is all after several confirmations by the way. Big bummer, would not reccomed.

I agree with one of the reviews. I made an appointment for an estimate of a repair and I tried twice both times I had to call him. He said that he lost track of time and second does not wear a watch. That is not a way to treat a potential customer.
Do not use use him.

I called one week in advance for a appointment to give me a bid to repair all needed repairs and pint exterior of my home. We agreed he would be at my home at 10 am on Monday.It is now 11:31am Monday and he still has not shown up nor called. I do not know the quality of work that Dan Black does, but if it is anything like hie punctuality and reliability---I am not recommending him.

I really appreciated his skills. Like...he does EVERYTHING !! I am so happy I found him. I'm telling everybody bout him. Lol

Dan's very professional and does high-quality work. Most importantly, he's very ethical and honest in his business dealings. For example, he readily told me my leaky windows just needed to be recaulked rather than replaced, even though it meant a much smaller job for him. Having a handyman you can trust is paramount!

I've used Dan's services multiple times around my house within the past few months. So far, he's (1) replaced my kitchen sink and faucet, (2) repaired a leaky bathroom faucet, (3) recaulked my windows to prevent leaks, (4) replaced water-damaged window sills and painted the replacements, (5) repainted several damaged doors, and (6) fixed some damaged alarm system receptors. Dan does a good job of communicating about the repairs, what needs to be done, and any unexpected foibles that pop up along the way. He's very pleasant to deal with and fair in his pricing and policies.

Dan showed up on time after we had set up a time for him to come by. He did a great job with a variety of tasks including: putting up ceiling fans, installing a new storm door (including repairing some shoddy work done in the past), putting up floating shelves and fixing a bathroom door latch. My wife and I were very happy with the quality of the work and his positive demeanor. Highly recommend.

I can hardly express how grateful I am to Dan. I was in Dallas recently to clear out the home of a family member who had died. Over several weeks, I found that various repairs were needed, from installing a ceiling fan and repairing locks to reinforcing fences and diagnosing a hot tub problem. Dan did a great job on all of them. He is both speedy and effective--a rare combination. It's so hard to find people who do good work these days. I only wish Dan worked as a handyman here in Idaho, where I live.

Hired him to put up a tv mount, worked out great, nice guy. Did a great job and it didn't take him all day. Will definitely use him for projects again.

Not only did Dan come 1.25 hrs out of his way to give me (a stranger) a quote on the DAY I called; but he also spent 8 hours at my house the very next day on a SUNDAY. 8 hours ON FATHERS DAY!! (He left for 30 minutes to go to Lowe’s.) If that doesn’t tell you he wants your business, I don’t know what does.

He did everything I asked him to do and I’ve already booked him for 2 more days.

I was referred to Dan, I called him to get a quote on a broken shower head that was leaking in the wall, he returned the call in less than 10 min and was out to my property the same day and fixed the problem. Was able to pay using his app. AWESOME!!!

Dan removed and installed new mirrors and sconces in my bathroom (including drywall repair and repainting). He was very efficient and made the bathroom look good as new. It was also very helpful that he was able to work in the evenings to accommodate my work schedule. I highly recommend him for jobs big or small around your house. On 5/6/2019 we hired Dan to install a tub surround. It took him three days, our water was off one of those days for over 10 hours, & he left our bathroom a mess. He damaged our drywall, left dirt and dust in the tub, he broke two mops. When it was all said and done the workmen installing the quartz noted that it was not level and the work was poorly done. He said the whole job was shotty(this was their words). We had to hire another crew to redo his work. We made the mistake of paying him for the job, and when we called him back to make improvements, he refused to answer our call or texts. Lesson learned from us, don't pay until the job is complete. I would hate for anyone ever to experience this same hardship and disappointment. So please beware of DanHandy!

Very professional, reasonable quotes, and the first handy man to actually clean up after himself! I would definitely recommend him to everyone butttttt.... maybe except to married women only bc I think I’m getting divorced now bc telling him I’ve never seen a man work so hard with his hands that I can only imagine what else he can do with his ohhh so handy hands and self.... obviously my husband thinks it’s not ok to flirt or gawk at the help he hired but I wasn’t complaining when he would go to our cleaning lady’s room for an hour every day to help clean out of her drains bc her hair never stops shedding. But Heyy id rather watch a man with a hammer than my husband pulling hairs out of drains daily.

Did a great job, professional and pleasant to work with. His rates are very reasonable. I would definitely recommend him.
