This is a fantastic business. The employees are particularly helpful. It is also set up in a nicely convenient location. I'm glad that I went in here to make a copy of a key recently.

My local Ace Hardware store had everything I needed for my small garden with great prices! The employees were very helpful and even loaded the heavy potting soil in my car! Now that’s service!

Disappointed with Ace today. I usually shop
here because the customer service is good and I would rather support a smaller company over Amazon/home Depot/Lowes even though their prices are generally higher.

My wife accidentally bought too many faucet covers before the latest freeze to help winterize a single mom’s house. When I attempted to return the unused equipment with a receipt the manager stated all sales for winterization equipment were final and they had signs stating that. That honestly feels like a policy designed to take advantage of customers during a freeze. Similar to price gouging gas. My wife also stated that she specifically asked the cashier if she could return items if we didn’t need them, and the cashier stated “Yes that won’t be a problem as long as you have the receipt.”

I had planned to buy additional items while there that would have cost more than the items I was attempting to return. Instead I just left.

I really wish that they would have chosen to prioritize the customer over a policy. Particularly one who has shopped there for years and is a rewards member. I doubt I will shop here again.

Hope they take this opportunity to make it right and retain a good reputation.

I can't say enough great things about Ace Hardware, especially Kevin, who truly goes above and beyond. Whenever I have a problem, Ace Hardware has the solution, and today was no different. I needed to learn how to take apart my bed and headboard and then put it back together, and Kevin was there to guide me every step of the way. He patiently explained everything, making sure I understood what to do without making me feel overwhelmed.

The level of customer service here is outstanding, and it's clear that they genuinely care about helping their customers. If you ever need help, Ace Hardware is the place to go! Thank you, Kevin, for always making things easier.

Have been looking for some place to sharpen my knifes while I wait for a while. The mall guy has been super busy the last few years and always says next day. I was surprised to see Ace hardware pop up my Google search. Hondo did an excellent job. This place will have a repeat customer for sure.

Bought 5 gallon bucket of Kiltz primer, 4 gallons of BM ceiling paint, 1 gallon of semi glass BM paint and a 5 gallon bucket of Regal BM paint. To finish the project I needed one more gallon so I had to go back. Somehow ended up ordering the wrong sheen. Right color and wrong sheen. Honest mistake

Went back to change that 1 gallon and they refused to provide any help after spending close to $1k in paint with them. Too my business to Texas Paint and wallpaper 10min down road. They have BM and way better service than Ace store provided.

Check your transaction history for yesterday (2/6/25) at 5:28pm. You'll see I bought 1 gallon of paint, 2 color samples and Pringles for a total of $96.96. I love supporting smaller businesses vs big box, but I just stood for 10mins, red vests everywhere, not one asked if they could help me or even acknowledge my presence. So much for “helpful hardware man” 😑

Very friendly and very helpful! The staff helped me find the exact size and threading to replace a missing bolt for a TV stand I'm assembling at home. Definitely recommend Ace hardware in Richardson.

Always my go to place when I need expert help. Usually have the items that I need. Often price is higher, but Associates are always friendly and welcoming...I want this store to stay in business. Will I go back? You betcha!

Ace at Coit & Beltline refused a return or store credit with my original receipt because it was more than 30 days BUT NO WHERE ON THE RECEIPT DOES IT STATE TIMEFRAME FOR RETURNS!

Took the wife to get a few items for outdoor use. She found what she needed and checked out. Staff was helpful and friendly. The store has a large selection of items.

I came in about a couple of weeks back to get supplies to fix my water filtration system and I don't remember the associate name but he help me out alot. Gave some good advise on what part to get and saved me 100s of dollars. I know if I need some help next time were to go.

Needed a replacement key for my truck's aftermarket tailgate lock and Hondo was super helpful and funny. Keys were only $2.39 each too!

The staff here is very helpful and efficient. I was also greeted as I walked in and asked if I needed help finding something, I said yes. He took me right over to what I needed and answered a couple of questions I had and I was out the door in less than 10 minutes. The cashier girl was very nice as well. Great experience!

Ace Hardware in general is the place I always get the items which can not find anywhere else

Ace Mic dropped on Home Depot today.
Today I was near Home Depot and went in to pick up a plumbing part that they should have in stock, btw they don't even have a SKU, particularly within their square footage. Going home, I swung by Ace, parked within 10' of the front door, was greeted by Andrew and Andrew walked me to the section, navigated past a hundred tiny drawers, unpackaged the part to verify it fit my piece. Andrew is a rockstar and Ace is my first stop going forward.

Today, I received the worst service at this location. When I walked into the paint department, the associate was completely unhelpful and practically ignored me. After picking up a can of paint and heading to the checkout, the associate called someone from another department to assist me. Unfortunately, this individual had no knowledge about paint and was very unhelpful.

This was my first negative experience at this Ace location, and I was quite upset. After purchasing my item, I called the store to speak with the manager. To my surprise, I was put on hold for 10 minutes, and no one ever picked up. When I called back, the employee told me the manager was busy and couldn't talk.

As someone who frequents hardware stores weekly for my job, I can confidently say this is the worst location I've been to. The store was empty when I left, so I doubt the manager was genuinely busy. In my opinion, this location has unknowledgeable and unhelpful employees.

Super friendly people who are incredibly knowledgeable. What's better is that they never make me feel silly when I ask very basic questions. And surprisingly they have quite a variety of items to choose from. Very very happy with this plalce

Hondo in the paint department is very knowledgeable. He was a very helpful with our very complicated paint requests. Would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for Benjamin Moore paints and need any kind of help with paint samples.

Store was empty the day I went, only saw two workers.. They didn't have what I needed (which is the reason for the 3 🌟 but one of the workers did order my item for me and told me it will be there next week.. Both workers were very kind and helpful..

Love shopping here! Employees are not only easy to find (usually greeting near the door even!) but knowledgeable and helpful! So many times I've had a project in mind but not sure how to proceed, and I've always been able to find someone who could help me find what I need to get started -and I've usually learned a lot along the way. They might be a little more expensive than the big box places, but I'll happily pay a little extra for the expertise.

Honestly places like this and harbor freight, i have found, are more useful than home depot. The store is dense and packed with only the more useful items. Tons of people working here too relative to the store footprint and they are always helpful and know where things are. In the time you spend at home depot just walking to and finding and item, you wouldve already gotten what you needed and walked out from Ace.

The people are just waiting to help you here! It is so much nicer going to a real hardware store and not a big box that has a bunch of extraneous stuff you don’t need at a hardware store, like washers and dryers. Getting help is instantaneous, unlike those cavernous places where you feel lost and it’s like pulling teeth to get knowledgeable help.

My sister and I were on a mini-marathon of Christmas shopping this Friday afternoon. She was looking for a set of fireplace accessories for my niece.

Our first stop was the Home Depot near where I live. They had nothing in-store—"online only," the guy said.

We were on the way to H-E-B in Plano, so I asked Google, "Where can I buy fireplace accessories nearby." She directed me to this Ace Hardware. Bingo!

Entering the store, there were three people at the ready to help. Friendly, too. We had our choice of three. My sister chose the mid-price one. Solved.

Bryan the manager is a super guy.He will go out of his way to help you and see that you get what you need.

Ace hardware on Buckingham rd Garland tx There paint prices are too darn high that's why I drive to home depot because they have better and cheaper paint prices when I stepped in the new ace hardware on Buckingham the prices blew me away straight to home depot where I findth bigger cans of paint gallon sizes for very reasonable price I will never go to ace again I wish they would have put a clothes store right there or something most of the business on that sidewalk isn't busy except dollar general and the laundry mat I'm definitely not liking the new ace hardware store!!! No need to compare prices I have eyes I see the difference home depot prices are better. !!! ! The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. They are great at helping to problem solve and easy to find. I always go there rather than Lowe’s and Home Depot when I can because the staff make it so easy to get in and out with what I came for.

Things are easier to find because they actually have attendants that help you and are readily available. I was asked when entering the store if I needed help, I was directed right to where I needed to be to find what I was looking for.

I just left ace and normally they greet you and ask if you need any assistance but the girl in the front didn't say anything. I went in at the same time with another gentleman and he was greeted immediately and asked if he needed help and I was ignored and I'm walking around looking for an item while other employees walked past me. I find the items I need and the gentleman Mr. Don asked me if I needed help and he did assist me. I thanked him for his help and told him he was the first one to acknowledge me. Even when I checked out the girl at the front said nothing. I won't be going back and will just go the extra mile to home depot where they do take care of their customers.

Normally, the customer service at this store is very good, so I enjoy shopping there, but I am very disappointed in my most recent encounter. Yesterday I stopped in to purchase some weed killer. I had a coupon for $10 off $50, so I picked up some tiki torch fuel also to help put me over the $50 to be able to use the coupon. When I was rung up at the register, the cashier told me that my total before tax only came to $49.50, that I need to spend 50 cents more to be able to use the coupon. Therefore, I grabbed a magnet for $3.99 to put me over the limit so I could use the coupon. When I got home, I realized that even though he scanned the coupon, it did not take the $10 off, so this morning I went back to the store to get a refund. The cashier looked at my receipt and told me that, unfortunately, since one of the items was on sale, I was not able to use the coupon. I explained what had happened and that I specifically purchased an additional item at the register because the cashier said that I just needed 50 cents more to be able to use it. He told me that he should have noticed that one of the items was on sale and that what he had told me was incorrect. The only resolution that he could give me was to apologize for the mistake and give me another coupon for $5 off $25 that expires in 5 days.

This is extremely poor customer service, especially over $10 for a regular customer. I would never have purchased the magnet, and it would have changed what I had decided to purchase if this had been communicated correctly on the front end. I ended up spending about $30 more than I would have on items that I didn't necessarily need, but would use, in order to save a little bit of money. Only I ended up not saving anything, and was given a coupon to have to spend $25 more to save $5, that is not even good long enough for me to actually need it.

This Ace Hardware is amazing. Not because it has anything unique, as products go, it’s a standard hardware store.

However, the employees are spectacular. I have been to this Ace twenty times, and every time the staff are friendly, the actually know where products are, can offer suggestions and are helpful. It was so novel it too a little getting used to. This is what customer service should look like.

While waiting for my wife recently. I went into this store. I haven't been in a hardware store for many years. It was a good time walking the aisles looking at all that is available. I was not looking to buy anything but found an item that I needed.

Went in for an ac capacitor. Guy who I asked if he could helped called their “ac” guy and was very knowledgeable. Trip took all of 2 minutes, answered all my questions. I have since installed the capacitor and ac is back working. Very knowledgeable staff, beats all the big box stores for sure. I’ll be back moving forward!

Staff has racially profiled people of color, and a black person, on Juneteenth! They watched us as we shopped and constantly invaded our space making the shopping environment hostile and made us as minorities feel unwelcomed in this shop

Today, my husband and I walked into this store to shop for some things he needed for our home. As we’re walking up and down the aisles in the store, the employees are constantly asking us if we need anything. We assured that we were just looking, especially since we’ve never been to this store before. It almost felt as if they were watching us the entire time. After we made it around the store, we stopped at the section close to the exit. A man, named JJ, approached us and asked us if we needed anything. We answered no and he proceeded to ask us to leave without any explanation. My husband and I look at each other confused and decided to leave to avoid escalating the situation. I can only assume they thought we were going to steal from the store or walk out without paying for the items in our cart. We were absolutely shocked and had never experienced anything like this before. The lack of reasoning led us to believe we were being racially profiled and discriminated as a Hispanic women and a black man.

The have everything from tools to cleaning supplies.

We were looking for hooks for our business which the employees discussed that they don’t carry the type we were looking for. An employee named Jean headed towards our car as we were getting to leave out the parking lot and explained that he was searching their database to try to see if he could get it for us. They happened to be out of stock, but he suggested another brand-store to see if they had it in stock.
I really appreciate his kind approach and for him writing down the name of the hooks we were showing the staff at the time. This kind of customer service holds great value to me and him going the extra mile was so thoughtful! We appreciate you Jean thank you!

#1 hardware store in Richardson. The people are so kind and helpful. They recently expanded and are stocking a lot of fun stuff. They do knife sharpening and will cut keys. Their paint section is huge.

This location has a great rating for a REASON. The gentlemen who work here are genuinely so friendly and helpful and pleasant. I decided to try out their new Resharp machine and I’m glad I did.

As a former professional, I used to spend a long time sharpening my knife using a wet stone. I got two blades sharpened today and was in and out in all of maybe 10 minutes. My knives are sharp. It did not take off a ton of metal. No sloppy scratches. I checked the edge when it was and that thing was STRAIGHT…no real surprise as the machine uses lasers for precision. If you’re on the fence, just let them sharpen your knives. Takes no time at all and a sharp knife is a safe knife.

He fixed it for us while we were in the store, and did so with a smile and truly joyful service. He was so kind to both my daughter and me, and made our experience even better than normal (which is always good at Ace). I really appreciate his assistance and professionalism! We will be back soon for our next project, no matter how big or small!

Previously I posted a negative review of ACE Hardware (after being a happy customer since 1993) due to two poor service experiences. Today I am changing my review because I did experience good customer service at my last visit to the store. Someone asked if I needed help and they even spent time with me to make sure that I found all the items I was looking for.

Unfortunately, I have recently encountered good customer service several times at Home Depot (which had provided years of terrible service) so ACE Hardware is going to need to continue to offer good customer service now that Home Depot has improved.
