They were initially prompt with a diagnostic service call and actually gave us options to manage our old system but we opted for a total replacement. The new installation had a couple of hiccups due to non-working parts but they recognized the problem parts both times and got replacement parts for the defective equipment quickly. We worked with Josh as our service tech and he is amazing…he was not pushy, is very friendly and was incredibly informative and attentive to getting it done right. We highly recommend Sala Air Conditioning!!!

Technician Tyler arrived early and actually troubleshot my 23 year old mini split with a manual and schematics for my unit. Un-freaking believable. That alone is worth 5stars. He isolated the faulty components and began looking for replacement parts. Within an hour parts were sourced and 2 estimates were e-mailed to me, one for a replacement unit cost and one for repair of the existing unit. Thats way more than you can expect from typical HVAC companies today. SALA has become my go-to for my home HVAC needs.

My heater wasn’t working and Tyler was able to come check it out within an hour of my call. Of course, when he got here it was working fine. He was friendly and professional, looked over everything and didn’t make me feel silly for calling. Waste of my time. These guys gave me the "I don't want this job" price or the "there's no way he'll accept this" price. $5265 was the quote to install a humidifier, plus I'm to source an electrician and plumber.

The Aprilaire 800 is $950 retail. Even 2 techs, 8 hours each / full day rate @ $150 per hour plus $150 trip charge, plus $500 in materials, plus steak dinners for both techs is STILL coming out less than the $5265 quote.

Based on the quotes I got, the HVAC forums and Dallas Pro List current market prices, the going rate for installs like this is $2000-2500 so these guys are hovering at double market price.

The tech was very friendly though (5 star tech).

I am a commercial real estate broker for 4/Way Investments. Our company has used Sala Air to do the preventative maintenance, AC repairs, and air balancing at some of the properties we manage. Their friendly staff does excellent work, fits you in their schedule quickly, and communicates well about the entire part of the repair process. Then, the job is followed up by an email with a completed work order and pics of the repairs. I highly recommend them to take care of your HVAC needs!

Called yesterday afternoon and they scheduled me for first appointment this morning. Tyler from Sala came out this morning and was able to fix us up for just the minimum diagnostic charge. After he fixed our (capacitor) problem he then did a thorough check of the outside unit and the blower unit in the house. He was very friendly and helpful in answering my questions to help educate me about preventative maintenance for the future. Will definitely use Sala again in the future.

Reached out for HVAC issue on 7/22. Tech showed on 7/23 recommending replacement. Asked for a quote. Was told quote would be in our hands by end of day 8/9. Still no quote. Was told they were in the process of writing the quote on 9/1. Still no quote. Engineer FINALLY shows up on 9/8. (How could you be writing a quote without the engineers input is beyond me). On 9/22 was told “waiting on the engineers report and give it another week”. It’s been 2 months. August in Texas with no AC is awesome. Glad this company was contracted (sarcasm). Maybe I’ll have AC just in time for winter. Perfect!

Air went out overnight and called several places only to be told about 3 to 4 hrs. Already hot at 830 am and have ill mom and animals.Called Sala and they were able to get out here in about 30 mins. Had Sala come out for A/C check. The were very efficient and explained what needed to be done and why. Tony didn't even let a wasp's nest deter him, he just went out and bought some spray and came back and finished the job. Tony & Tim were very professional. Highly recommended.

I had a really great experience with these guys. They were recommended by my neighbor who had used and recommended them up and down the street. Jose came out and thoroughly checked out the system. At the end, all I needed was some cleaning and basic maintenance. There were no tricky gimmics or tricks, and the quoted price was what I paid. It was really like having a friend come over and give you straight answers.

My mom greatly appreciate Matt's service. She contacted him because the control valve of our furnace was not closing properly causing a gas leak. He was able to come on the same day and was very helpful and proactive in looking for ways to help us save money. Matt from Tempo Heating and Cooling Service came by to check one of my heaters last week on Tuesday. I was able to quickly set up an appointment and he showed up promptly the next day. We were exceptionally pleased with Sala A/C and the two men, Tim and Mark, who came to repair and replace a portion of our duct work under our house. We called another AC company several times and they never called back. We found out later that they do not go under the house! In the mean time we called our American Home Shield and they denied coverage. We needed the work done. Tim diagnosed our problem. Tim and Mark replaced a portion of our duct work under the house. They were professional, courteous and got the job done. We highly recommend Sala. They explained everything they were going to do and took pictures of the broken ducts so we could see the damage. They recommended the flex duct, that could be attached to our old hard duct work. This saved us money and was a good solution for the long line that had to be replaced. Thank you Sala A/C!

We've been doing business with two generations of Sala's for decades.Always have been treated fairly and professionally .Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for any air conditioning or heating service.

We used Tim at Sala Air Conditioning; both of our A/C units had stopped working over the weekend. He came in early Tuesday morning (a couple of days before any other provider could get out there--in fact, another small HVAC company recommended Sala!) and got right to work identifying the problems (capacitor in the one fan's motor and a capacitor in the other system's condenser were both blown out). Tim was super nice and polite and came in before each fix/part to tell us the cost of the part and ask us if it was OK for him to install.

He was definitely honest, too--he told us that the Freon was a little low on one of the units, at a level where we could probably leave it or he could top it off. We told him to top it off and the amount was less than he estimated. A less honest tech could easily have used that as a way to pad the bill and there's no way we would have known.

He was super fast at resolving several different problems and definitely didn't overcharge us. And our house is cool again! We would use him (and Sala) again (we've also used them for regular maintenance, with fine results).
