Probably the most friendliest staff that I’ve ever encountered at a Home Depot. Everyone was so helpful. I was struggling outside trying to get some bins and other items on my truck bed, and was approached by Camron. He was super polite and courteous and ask if I needed help. He assisted me with getting the items on my truck bed. Will be shopping this location more often. Job well done Home Depot Wheatland.

I tired to be in and out, but I didn’t know where the lawn care/repair stuff was… I only heard about it from a friend who suggested Scott’s triple action & showed me why, vis-a-vis, his own lawn compared to all the other yards on his side of the street.
So I asked one of the Home Depot employees and he helped me like he really enjoyed his job! He even educated me in comparisons by brands, prices and products. 🫢 Not only was I informed, I had a great time learning 👉🏾I felt like I was in the plant nursery on Sesame Street. Such a lovely Sunday, which happens to be my favorite day of the week (not to mention that was the day I was born on-but I digress). Home Depot employees always have great customer services and I just LOOOVVE walking through the nursery, this time with purpose and plenty of loaded lawn questions. All were answered and ultimately my ‘novice’ anxiety was quelled. According to the videos below, thanks to Home Depot, now I’m a lawn pro lol 👍🏾

I visited Home Depot store #0552 on Friday after busting a sprinkler water pipe. I had a general idea of what I needed, but I couldn’t find the right parts. Houston went above and beyond to help me out. He not only found exactly what I needed, but also taught me more about the materials and setup than I even realized I needed to know. He set me up with the correct piping, glue, and connectors, saving me a lot of time and frustration. Great customer service — really appreciate his help!

Today, I had an amazing time at Home Depot! I visited the store to find a part for our pool pump’s water hose adapter. Initially, I was nervous about navigating the store and locating the part, but to my surprise, everything was well-organized and labeled. While in the garden section, I was mesmerized by the diverse array of flowers and plants they had. Associate Rick was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, providing valuable assistance in the gardening area. I highly recommend this store for any home improvement or gardening needs.

WHEATLAND LOCATION I rented a truck with no problems the first time. The second time I was 30 mins early to pick up a truck i had reserved with confirmation and when I got there I found out my reservation was cancelled. No warning was given. The guy at the desk told me I should have came earlier. The manager was of no help either. The third time this time I was told I couldn't rent a truck unless I had my own personal insurance even though home depo "forces" you to buy there's. These are issues I have had with this location only. Each time I didn't get a truck for whatever reason I was given I d4ove to the next home depo and got a truck with absolutely no issues at all and with great customer service. I was also told the I do not need my personal insurance and if I did have it the insurance they "make" you buy it can be removed if the customer asked them to. I do like the truck because of the price and the unlimited milage. Just not from the wheatland location, too unreliable as to what they will enforce on each visit.

There's a lot of unfulfilled middle-aged workers and young entitled employees there, who think a paycheck just falls from the sky. No one wants to be there, and it translates into their lack of work ethic and their almost nonexistent customer service. Combine that with blatant prejudicial treatment, and it's understandable why home improvement retail store is the farthest most of them have gotten in life. What a waste of time on a lovely Wednesday morning. All I needed was assistance with identifying a few PVC pipes because the SKU stickers are so damaged, they're illegible. The second star is only for the young man who asks if you found what you need at the exit. At least he was humble enough to apologize when I let them know that I found every other associate useless.

Great Customer service Juan in flooring on yesterday 1/5/25
I went in on a Sunday evening. I had just got my new stainless steel glass top oven. I was so excited I wanted to find a nice little rug for right now to use in my kitchen. Juan came over and helped me with prices. He checked a lot of rug prices for me. He was just as excited as I was when I found one that I could afford and that looked nice. I would just like to say it is so nice when some wants to help you, and they don't mind checking different prices. He had such patience with me. I felt like I was the only customer in the store. I know I was not; I like the fact that he was so nice. Great customer service and just a wonderful personality. Thank you, Juan, in flooring. I ended up finding a black rug to go with my stove.

This Home Depot and others in the DFW area have rented Core Drills with false pretense. I wonder if this isn’t an issue nation wide at this time.
The Core Drills are available at most Home Depot Rentals. The CPI, is that they will rent you the Core drill; but either do not have the bits, or the bits have broken teeth and are worthless. This particular drill had a cord that was taped up with electrical tape, which is an OSHA violation. This Drill vibrates and the bit is out of balance. This is not the first time this year that we’ve experienced such issues.
This has caused an incomplete night crew job and day crew job. Again, this is not the first time across the DFW that we have experienced this. Why offer the service of rental if you don’t have the complete equipment for the service? This could very well be a CALS as a CPI across the board.

Been to a number of different Home Depot’s and our trip to this Home Depot was our best experience yet. Blake helped us on a couple of occasions and he really went above and beyond from a service stand point. We found that level of service with everyone as well. The folks there were willing to drop what they’re doing to help however they could. I applaud the folks managing this location. We were really impressed with the attitudes and service. We will be back!

Home Depot I am disappointed in the service my husband received today 10/11/24 @6:50 pm in the paint section. I was on the phone with my husband as he attempted to get his paint mixed in the machine in the paint department. The paint associate JOSE demanded my husband 'Come over here!' he sounded harsh, aggressive and unprofessional. My husband asked the man to not talk to him in that manner and tone and big Jose got irate and I asked my husband to just purchase the paint that we needed and I will file an official complaint with corporate next. Bypass this Red Bird home Depot if you need paint services. Jose needs to be fired for this unprofessional outburst Home Depot!

Waiting for service because it was a couple already standing on the other side of the counter. This is by far my favorite home depot!! I had a project that took a few months so I was shopping at this location for a while. I arrived to return equipment this morning no one was at the tool rental section. The manager was called but never showed up. The cashier in a nice way told me I can't leave until I get checked out now, I feel uncomfortable.

I wanted to give a BIG shoutout to Carlton specifically in the Lawn & Garden department. A little back story... We had found a shed online that we were really interested in and if you purchased in store it was actually a clearance item. Of course we wanted to get it in store because we would save over $550! We first looked online in our area at two of our nearby home depots. One in Waxahachie had listed that they had 3 in their inventory so my husband made a trip there. First off he said it took forever to find someone to just help him and when he did they were really no help at all. They couldn't locate the sheds listed in their inventory and did no help referring him to another location or even a different product. They basically told him they don't have them. I went to the lancaster home depot because their store said they had 4 available in store. After asking an employee for assistance they referred me to someone else in the back who informed us that there inventory is never wrong. If it says they got it, they got it. She was very helpful but then passed us on to another lady in the garden area who basically said, if you don't see it we don't have it regardless of what their inventory says. No help as to where or why they were not in store. Just oh well. No sorry for the inconvenience, no manager, no nothing. Needless to say we were both upset with the lack of effort on the staff at both Home Depot locations.

A couple weeks later i decided to give it one last go because this shed was ultimately going to be a Father's Day gift to my husband. I called the Wheatland store and put in the sku# over the phone to which they said they had 3 in store. Great! So i asked for an associate and explained what had happened at the previous store and if she could please just go check before i drive out. She did and said they had 1 left. I said great id be there to get it.

When I arrived i went to the counter to ask about the call and who could help me. The lady at the front counter said Carlton over by the mowers and lawn care. I went over there and there was a line of people waiting for this poor man. It was a Thursday and you could tell he was swamped. There was absolutely no one else in that department to help out so I just waited. After about 15 min he was able to help me. I explained the situation and that I had already been out in the garden section and didn't see it. We walked out there together to which we found a box with the SKU# on it but it was placed on the wrong box. SO again, not one single shed that was listed in inventory was actually in the store. You can imagine my frustration at this point.

Carlton just said let me see what's going on and what we can do. After calling for back up from his manager they both realized the inventory was wrong and they just did not have them. To help make it right they were able to offer me another shed with a small discount off it for the trouble. Carlton probably spent 20-30 minutes with me trying to help me leave there with something similar to what I came for. Every other employee had acted like we were an inconvenience when it is literally there job to assist customers. I am so thankful to this staff member for essentially going above and beyond which is what you would expect an employee to do but its just not like that anymore. Nobody seems to want to help you anymore. I came in ready to buy and he made sure I had something to buy even if it wasn't the exact model. I even spent more money than i had planned to but left a happy customer because Carlton helped me find what i need and my husband got a shed for father's day! I will definitely be back when it's time to get a mower to put in that shed! Truly, Thank you Carlton for treating my like a human and doing all you could on your end. It did not go unnoticed!
