The team was great from the begining with first of all getting us a great deal, but then with the install they had a great attention to detail and made sure everything was perfect! A-Star recently worked on replacing the air conditioning and furnace at my house. Right from getting an SME to find out what was going wrong with the old system, explaining different options to remediate the problem, providing estimates, scheduling the work, executing the work, and then cleanup every thing was executed professionally, with care. This company deserves more than five stars. Every time I called them they were polite and friendly. The service tech, Sergio was outstanding. Always friendly, pleasant and patient with all my questions. They came out several times to look at my project and did not charge me until the very last time when they installed my two Gas Lamps on my front porch. Their work was extremely neat and professional and I could not be more pleased!

Cooper and Philip replaced a new sewage line in my yard and it was the smoothest plumbing experience I've ever had. They handled everything after I said yes to the repairs. The whole job took 3.5 days but our plumbing wasn't interrupted at all. Cooper and Philip were both very easy to reach and responded quickly with any concerns I had. They were very knowledgeable and very professional. Labor workers did a phenomenal job of neatly digging the trench where the line is and neatly filling it back it. Very precise and amazing work from everyone. Will definitely use AStar for my future projects/issues. Highly satisfied!

Jonathan was nothing short of amazing—truly heaven sent! He went above and beyond with finding a resolution to our extremely unique and complicated electric situation involving three townhomes and one crackling 3 socket meter base. He helped me step by step, was very thorough, and had the utmost patience with providing an in depth explanation again and again to all three parties involved at our townhomes. Astar electrician Jonathan arrived on the scene and he immediately made our problems his. His exact words were “ I am not leaving here until we have answers and an exact timeframe for a resolution” and he did just that even after 5 hours he stayed true to his word. Before I had called 5 other electricians out and Astar was the only company that was able to provide a timely and reasonable solution for our unfortunate electric situation. The other companies either could not locate the rare part or just flat out told me they would not be able to service our townhome situation at all. Before Astar came out my entire experience was exhausting, defeating and it seemed as though we would never find an affordable solution. AStar was able to expedite our rare service part and offer us a solution for over $5,000 less than what we were previously quoted from a competing electric company. I am super happy and grateful that I chose to call Astar and would recommend them to all my family and friends without hesitation!

Copper came out in the specified time. He professional did his job and had the drain issue resolved quickly.

The person that answered the phone was very courteous and helpful and she got a hold of the technician. He came out within 25 min after he was on another call.
He called me when he arrived, and did an excellent job. I would recommend this company to everyone.

We’ve used A-Star twice and they’ve been fabulous. Responsive … in fact I’d say they’re gone above what I’d expect both times. We’ll definitely use them again! Sean is fabulous!

Scheduled an appointment for 4:30 PM and confirmed it with the office earlier in the day. I received a call back shortly after confirming, saying they needed to check on the technician’s location. I never heard back. When I followed up at 4:40, I was told by the manager that the appointment would need to be rescheduled for the next day because the technicians were too busy. I understand things come up, but cancellations should be communicated in a timely and professional way — especially after the customer has confirmed and is waiting. I can’t speak to the quality of their HVAC work, but based on this experience, I can’t recommend them for reliability or customer communication.

6/9/25 Needed evaluation of a clogged pipe from the washer. The technician Cooper came right on time. He was very thorough in explaining the procedures to take place and the cost. He was very upfront on what my options were. I highly recommend this company for professionalism.

Sean came by to check on our A/C after it went out. He was very courteous and great with my two frenchies as a plus. Thoroughly inspected the system and was able to spot the problem in a timely manner and gave me a couple different options on how to fix the problem.

We have used A-Star for a few years now. We had AC emergencies and they have always come thru for us….On price and urgency. We bought a unit 4 yrs ago and had an issue with it and they came immediately. It was under warranty but there was some labor cost and they gave me a great price for the work. Phillip Guthrie was our specialist. He was just AWESOME! My husband was at work so I was dealing with the issue. It was a little intimidating bc I don’t have AC knowledge. Phillip was Very helpful, knowledgeable, and gave great customer service. He put me at ease and explained everything to me. I can’t recommend them enough. Thank you A-Star!

Updated review: This place takes their reviews very seriously. After leaving the review below, manager Joe called me. He said he wants to make it right.. and he did. He sent Devon to take care of the flush. Devon (A master plumber) went above and beyond and replaced a debris filter that was stuck, and I couldn't get it out. He spent about 45 minutes to replace that.. then flushed the system and made sure it was done right.

This place has won me as a customer for life. They took care of their mistakes, and made it right. THey went above and beyond to make sure I was treated right.

This place is a scam! Website offers a $99 tankless heater flush. THey ask me how old my water heater is etc. Their guy shows up on time to tell me we don't flush water heater older than 5 years for liability reasons.. and tries to upsell me on their services. Buyer beware! These website specials are to get in your house and do sales pitch on trying to upsell you on services you don't need. Don't take these guys and their coupons/services seriously.

After one of their drivers license plate ending in 7666 nearly ran me off the road this morning on 635. I would not recommend. If their drivers are reckless I can only imagine the service being provided.

We had an unusual request for someone to come look at our commercial anti-theft system because I had no idea where to even start and even though Jonathan had never laid eyes on one before he spent at least 45 minutes inspecting and doing his own research, calling professional security tech companies for advice, watching videos- AND HE FIGURED IT OUT. Could not be more pleased, very professional and nice. He could have come and taken a look and said sorry I don't know what to tell you and I wouldn't have faulted him for it. Sean came by for my semi annual Gold Membership HVAC inspection. He was extremely thorough, and detail oriented. He so explained what he was doing, why he was doing it, and the impacts the various systems have on my comfort. In addition, he answered all of my questions about my system and gave me tips in maximizing my savings. He did have a few suggestions for improvements to my unit and sent them to me in an email.

Jonathan made my experience very stress free. Man of his word and will definitely refer work to him in the future or I will use them again in the future. I had his team add an electrical panel to a shed and upgraded my old panel for my home at a reasonable cost. The job took about 2 days. Great work. Clean work. Very happy.

I wish I could give less than 1 star. Possibly the worst company to ever call for ac unit. The one guy came and he just coming and going like he didn’t know what he was doing. I kept asking him, what’s going on, he couldn’t explain anything. I remember calling Astar that night to complain about him and the lady I spoke with said oh he is just very thorough and knows what he’s doing. LIES!!! He left the seal on the coil opened, left the wires loose and I have pictures of it. He should be fired because he is obviously clueless. He said the company will send an estimate, nothing was sent until I called back 1 week later. Totally the worst company ever and I pay monthly fee for this crap! I feel like he damaged it more than what it was. He didn’t test the thermostat to see if that was the cause. He didn’t check the unit outside the house to see if it’s working. Completely unprofessional every time I asked him a question as if I was inconveniencing him.

Cooper my plumbing tech was excellent he was prompt and gave me house a thorough inspection. I am seriously considering a descaler now after he showed me what came out of the water heater. Dallas has seriously hard water that leaves build up all over your plumbing. Thanks again Cooper.

We have a very efficient but complex A/C unit with computer boards that communicate between indoor and outdoor units. When it broke, we needed someone experienced with such systems. Astar relayed the message to Ricardo, the manager, who sent out Cesar G.

Cesar expertly diagnosed two problems: a refrigerant leak and a bad thermal expansion valve. The second issue had been missed by three other HVAC companies. Cesar took the time to really understand our system, contacted the manufacturer, performed software updates, and found a special part we needed.

We really appreciated Cesar’s ability to diagnose a complex problem and get our unit working again. We highly recommend Astar.

The technician said I needed a new capacitor for the unit as a wire had burned up and was disconnected from the capacitor. I asked him how much it was going to run me to fix the wire and replace the capacitor. The price was too high so I did it myself!

Jason from HVAC serviced our units and we needed surge protectors on our outside units. I can't believe we didn't already have them. Our freon was low on upstairs and unit so we might as well fill that too. We weren't ready to spend all that money but after talking to Jason we realized it's something we should do. He never tried to sell us anything. He's very honest and was a pleasure to work with. The only negative I would add is my small labradoodle kept following him outside the front door which is a big no no.

After I made an afternoon call for clearing a drain clog, the manager or owner called back to move our appt from tomorrow to today. Cooper Burns arrived exactly on time as promised and cleared the clog within 5 minutes. Same day service, priceless for regaining working toilets.

He showed us the camera feed where the cast iron pipe breaks under the house were clearly visible, obviously needing repair. His professional and complete explanations at every step helped us make informed decisions. No sales pressure, just a superb experience.
He deftly covered the monthly maintenance fee for contract plumbing, HVAC and electrical for a great price and repair discount. Beneficial for us while we decide on repair estimates emailed immediately. Highly recommend this locally owned business with superior proactive service.

Philip Guthrie, the comfort specialist for Astar AC systems, arrived today for a maintenance check. He provided outstanding service and pertinent information. Philip is outstanding with his knowledge, professionalism and attention to detail. He showed me all of the testing and existing system issues with photos and videos plus the top range for system output metrics.

Philip showed me the repair versus new system estimates, the breakdown of each component cost and answered my questions completely about choices of systems and performance. He never insisted or pressured me to schedule any work being done immediately without researching facts and making my own decision. This is the type of service I expect and appreciate when I find the rare individuals who insist upon in the customer with the best options. Philip confirmed I could text him with additional questions and he would personally handle any work we chose.

Dinell came out and helped us with air rebalancing, which he calls comfort adjustments and that’s a way better name for it! He was very focused on our needs and helped us with our rooms that were not getting enough air redirecting from where we getting too much air. He also made additional recommendations if the problem persists in how we can continue to make our spaces more comfortable. Excellent service and one of the nicest people I’ve had come and work in my home.

Our house recently got struck by lightning, which resulted in a fire in the kitchen. This led to heavy repairs in electric, HVAC, and plumbing damage.

Electrician: Kenneth from AStar was an absolute rockstar. He not only repaired the electric damage in one day, but ensured that I was taken care of from start to finish. His responsiveness in communication, willingness to document additional details that would help for my insurance claim, and delivering A+ service meant the world to a customer who was going through a tedious insurance claim process and an emotional rollercoaster from a recent fire.

Plumbing: Devon also provided A+ service and made my life easier by staying in contact, addressing my questions in a professional manner, having empathy and being understanding for the situation I was in, and being as honest and transparent as possible throughout the process.

HVAC: Philip G. and the HVAC crew who installed a brand new heating and air conditioning system for us was also efficient and did a great job on the installation.

Overall, very satisfied with my interaction with Astar. I would recommend to anyone who's needing repairs and appreciates great service.

I give Roger a 5 rating for professional assistance and knowledgeable service on my plumbing repair this month. Friendly and informed assistance on a rather difficult situation on my 100 yr old farmhouse plumbing. It took a few tries but adapted a new clean out valve to an out dated sewer clean out valve dug up from at least a 50 year old setup long buried and covered over system beneath our patio. Appreciated his patience and good sense of humor as detection ensued to a good resolution of my now working system. 3 trips along the way.
