After receiving a much higher water bill than normal, I called my regular plumber to see if they could come out. However, they were taken over by someone else and no longer served my area, so, I started looking for a replacement. I remembered a company that took care of my dad before he passed as well as my sister so I looked them up and gave them a call. We were able to schedule an appointment and Philip came out and assessed the situation. He was very knowledgeable and gave me several different options that we could try. However, with my home being more than 100 years old, I knew that there might be other issues hidden somewhere so we decided to replace the main water line from the city line to my house. I thought this would be the most cost effective in the long run. We discussed different materials and methods and then Phillip up wrote up a quote. It was less than others I had spoken to but more than I was hoping to spend. He then offered several financing options. I decided on an 18 month no interest loan. The cost was pretty steep, but with the quality of the materials that were installed being so much better than what was there, I know I made the right decision. It has been upgraded to an insulated pex pipe. There is now a shut off right at the house instead of out in the alley. I also have another main shut off for just the outside faucet in the back. I will be able to turn that off at any point. Actually I will be able to turn off either one at any point without any problems. No more trying to find the key that goes to the padlock and the back gate and struggling to get the cover off the city main and then turning it off there. I am very pleased with the work. One thing I did notice though is Philip did say it would take about 6 hours to dig out. It only took about two and a half. Their digging crew knew exactly what they were doing. They came in, got to work, and completed the job in a fraction of the time that Philip estimated. They were followed by Bobby Joe and one of his helpers. Philip estimated it would take about 4 hours to replace the line during which time we would have no water. However, Bobby Joe was able to get it taken care of in about 2 and 1/2 hours total. We were without water for maybe half an hour during this entire time. One thing that really please me on top of everything else, is that when they reconnected the new line they prefilled it so that there was very little air in the new pipe. I saw no dirt whatsoever coming through when we turned the water back on. I am very pleased with the quality and workmanship and professionalism of every individual that I have encountered with Rescue Plumbing. I think that I have just found my new plumber. However, with the quality of their work, I may never have to call them again!

Roman was very polite and professional. He gave me a courtesy call ahead of time and showed up within the next hour or so. He was able to get my AC temporarily working while we worked on a replacement. I would highly recommend using Rescue Air and Plumbing and asking for Roman. They also offer fair pricing and flexible payment options.

AC put in by a different firm broke again and we called them for service. They came out and saw we have a tricky route to the roof and were not the least bit motivated to try to navigate it. While dreading that we were going to be spending yet another night trying to sleep in 90+ degrees we ran into Jeff from Rescue Air who was at our complex helping another client. We got talking and told him our story and he immediately offered to try to help. He was on the roof easily and quickly and had our problem fixed in 10 minutes. Would give 10 stars if possible and we will be changing our HVAC company to Rescue Air going forward. Kudos to Jeff for his friendliness, helpfulness and expertise.

Jeffrey from Rescue Air and Plumbing was at my home today doing the bi-annual check for my air conditioners. He is very nice, professional and respectful. Jeffrey is knowledge and has experience in the field of HVAC. He explained in detail the work he performed and what was needed to be performed for optimal performance of my systems.

I’ll start with the positive: the upgraded HVAC system I ended up with is likely the best in my building. That’s the only reason this isn’t a zero-star review.

Now for the rest.

I called Rescue Heating and Air when my old system had fan power but no cold air. The technician—a former engineer—diagnosed the entire system as obsolete and pushed for a full replacement. That felt excessive, but I went along with it. In hindsight, I wish I hadn’t.

What should have been a one-call install turned into three. My condo is older and space is tight, but a competent team should have anticipated the drainage and fit issues. Instead, poor planning led to my safety switch tripping twice, which cut off the thermostat completely. After the third visit, quality control finally flagged the issue and techs came back to fix what should’ve been addressed from the start.

To make matters worse, my bathroom was left in shambles—sawdust in the tub, clogged drain, no cleanup. That alone was unprofessional.

I should’ve gotten a second opinion. I probably could’ve replaced a part for $600. Instead, I was sold a $10,000 system that created more stress than comfort. Sure, I like the final product now, but I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone—except maybe someone I don’t like.

EDIT: I’m revising to one star. Not because the product changed, but because the broader context has:
I no longer live in my condo. It’s uninhabitable due to deeper structural issues I didn’t fully understand at the time of install. The sales rep at Rescue wasn’t interested in listening when I first hesitated over cost. Maybe he thought I was bluffing. I wasn’t.

Now I’m stuck paying for a system I can’t even use, and picking up extra work just to stay afloat. So yeah—maybe that first star was too generous, God forbid a second. Take this as fair warning. If you’re in DFW, go with literally anyone else, or even go without air conditioning if your options are this company or nothing.

We used them for 7 years. In the beginning, they were solid. But over the last 2 years, things went downhill—hard.

They started pushing unnecessary repairs and giving us outrageously overpriced quotes. Case in point: my rental unit’s AC had a leak in the evaporator coil. Their quote? $6,000—basically the cost of a new unit. I got quotes from two other reputable companies. Both came in at $2,500.

Then a thermostat went dark. Their solution? Replace it—for $3,000. A quick search showed the unit itself costs $500. Are they charging $2,500 for labor? That’s absurd. But here’s where it gets worse: I did a little troubleshooting myself and got the unit back on with a few basic reset steps. When I told the technician, he threatened me—saying if it went dark again, they wouldn’t honor the “discounted” price.

This isn’t just about being overpriced. It’s dishonest.

Brian came late , 10.40pm, on a friday to get my unit up and running because a drain line clog had cause it to shut down again after being there earlier. He had to install a extra line cutoff to make sure that the drain line would be blown out successfully. Back and running at 11.40pm

Melvin and Randy just left after working diligently for 9+ hours to install a complete new HVAC system AND clean all my ductwork. They were polite, professional, thorough, and were extremely knowledgeable. No one wants to have to spend so much money but if and when you do, it’s nice to know that the technicians that are customer-facing are of this caliber. If every Rescue Air technician is as good as Melvin and Randy, you can’t go wrong with Rescue Air.

Let me first say that Philip KNOWS HIS STUFF!!!
I’ve been having an issue with 1 of my downstairs toilets for well over a year, I have 2 other restrooms so it wasn’t a bid deal to where I needed to drop everything to address it.

The issue was that there was a super slow flow in the water line that caused the toilet to fill up extremely slow and for the cold water side of the faucet to flow slow as well.

After Philip asked me a few questions and I answered them, he then asked if I had valve box and my answer yes and I took him to it.

Turns out that the valve that controls the water flow to that restroom was pretty much cut off, causing the flow to be slow.

Philip opened that baby all the way up and that water flow came rushing through like it’s supposed to!!!

The crazy part about it is, I actually had 2 other companies look at it when I first noticed it a year ago and they both concluded that it was some foreign object in the line and that they’d have to cut through my wall to retrieve it. That’s the reason it took me so long to get it fix, I just wasn’t ready to pay out of the Wazoo to have the work done!!

I REALLY appreciate this company! It pays to have someone that actually KNOWS what they’re talking about and not just guessing!!

Great and honest help seems to be harder and harder to find these days. So, imagine being in a position of having to find a new HVAC company AND purchase a new system. This is where we found ourselves and it has been very stressful. However, Rescue Air was recommended to us by our previous and trusted HVAC guy and they were able to come out and see us within hours of our call. Cole K came out and spent several hours listening to us, answering our many questions and taking a look at our existing system before presenting solutions that would work for us. We are so excited that our new system will be installed tomorrow! While we were a cautious and a little nervous about the cost of the new system, Cole addressed all of our concerns without ever rushing or pressuring us just so he could make a sale. We really appreciate the time Cole took with us. His honest and direct approach, professionalism and friendliness really says a lot about him and about Rescue Air. We are looking forward to a long and great future dealing with your company!

What’s almost as good as same-day service? Next-day service! And I really can’t hold that one day against them because I only bought the system late yesterday evening. So, from our initial call to Rescue Air yesterday afternoon, to their representative coming out only a couple hours later, to their installation team coming out this morning to spend most of the day getting us squared away, I have never experienced such speedy and yet comprehensive and friendly service!

Kudos to our installation team of Austin M. and Ty F.! They worked continuously and tirelessly all day long getting our old system out, cleaning ducts and installing, testing and training us on our new system. They worked great as a team, were so courteous and polite, and really gave us a good feeling about our purchase and about the company they represent! All companies and products have a reputation, be it good or not, but I like to meet the people behind those reputations to form my own opinion, and the folks we’ve met from Rescue Air are just great people! Thank you, Austin and Ty, for your professionalism, your friendliness and for spending all that time making sure that we were satisfied.

Our sales experience yesterday afternoon - a Saturday (!) with Cole K. was great. He is incredibly knowledgeable and worked with us to find the right solution for our needs. Today (Sunday!!!) our installation experience was outstanding! Austin M. & Ty F. came out bright and early and hit the ground running. Unfortunately they had to address and fix some hiccups from a previous install that they handled like champs and kept going. Then there was a small hiccup with an incorrect part that got delivered - Austin got on the phone and made stuff happen and kept his word that he and Ty wouldn’t leave until we had a cold house (again - on a Sunday!!). The level of attention to detail was next level from them both. Things we never would have been smart enough to know if corners had been cut - they pointed out and explained how thorough they were being, and God Bless them for that. Austin and Ty are next level. Professional, knowledgeable, nice, easy to work with. Rescue Air is very lucky to have them representing the company. We couldn’t be happier with our choice. They are not the cheapest - and I completely understand why. With Rescue Air you get what you pay for, and you can’t put a price on peace of mind. Great job, guys!

Roman was great. He was experienced, and what I loved was his professionalism and willingness to show me the process and data readouts comparing them to the range it should be in. He was so educational with his explanation on diagnosing the problem and getting my air conditioning back up and running.

Rescue Air has been taking care of my A/C for years with great service, routine maintenance and speedy support. They helped me get the most life out of aging units but one finally failed because of old age. Joe came out to make the diagnoses that it was time to replace my system, coached me through all the considerations I needed to make for the new system and was empowered to negotiate a price plan on the spot, and impressively, had the install scheduled the same week. On install day, Austin and Ty showed up right on time to get my new system installed and running. They were exceptional. Very polite, knowledgeable, conscientious, fast and worked incredibly hard that day in a very hot attic. Ty and Austin killed it! Fortunately, this is the first A/C system that I've ever had to replace, and always dreaded the day that I would have to replace a system, but the team at Rescue Air made it fast, fair and simple. Great work, thank you.

This worker came in, put covers on his feet, went about his checks. Very nice, we liked him and appreciated his service.

Cole, Austin, and Ty were honest, transparent, and professional. They took the time to educate us and answer all our questions. Ultimately, we chose to purchase a full HVAC replacement (our system was from ‘96 so it was time). We couldn’t be happier with the process/price and would recommend them to my grandmother.

These are experiences over the last 8 years of being a membership customer:

HVAC:
-Multiple technicians coming out for bi annual inspections missed that our flue was not attached to the furnace, with significant mold growth around the area and inside the flue. The technician that finally did was excellent and no longer works for the company.
-After installing an entirely new system, they left a significant amount of trash and scraps in the attic. Enough to be commented on by other contractors that have had to go up there for other reasons.

Plumbing:
-Had our whole sewer replaced. No one bothered to call me when the work was done and we were only able to move back into our house after I called to find out the status of the job after receiving no updates. The manager did not seem to care that no one was keeping me updated.

-After foundation work, we found a break in the sewer line. When fixed by a different plumber they notified us that it looked like it had broken before the foundation lift due to the break not being clean. We also found 2 more breaks later, one due to just complete separation of a pipe. We only found them due to additional work requiring another hydrostatic test, and they were no where near the work that was done. I complained after a different plumber questioned the quality of work, when performing the repairs. The person I was put in touch with was allegedly a co founder at Rescue. He asked for my story and images of everything, which I sent. I have followed up multiple times and have been ghosted.

General:
-Over the years, the technicians that come out have been doing less and less in the regular membership tune ups/inspections. The plumbing inspection is a joke by this point. They have also consistently been pushing additional products and services at an increasing rate and offer you financing if you say something is too expensive. My wife had to ask one representative to leave after he continued trying to push a water filtration system.
-Every single time I have requested for an issue to be escalated to a manager, I have to call back at least once to get someone to contact me.
-After cancelling my membership recently, I was told all of my complaints would be "passed on." What a surprise, no one has contacted me.

To their credit, they responded very quickly when our HVAC died in the middle of summer and replaced it very fast. Though I'm sure it's very motivating when you're making money instead of answering to customer satisfaction.

Alex and his crew did an exceptional job installing our new HVAC system. They were courteous, friendly, respectful and took pride in their work. This is the same attributes I saw in Mr. Payne when he did our maintenance and told us about issues with our system. It seems to me that Rescue Air has created a great work culture.

We called Rescue Air & Plumbing and they sent Eric and Jesus. Not only did these two experts solve our mysterious water issue (ended up not being a plumbing problem) but they helped identify a looming water heater issue that could have caused a flooding disaster but provided sound recommendations and skilled service in the installation of a new water heater and flood stop. They even ran around DFW to replace my water heater with a hard to find warranty version. Now that is service that you just don't experience very often anymore. These two gentlemen are the real deal.

I had an issue where my toilet would sporadically drain overtime, and although I figured it was an easy fix, I decided to have this team come out for consultation as they offered that as a free service.

The day I reach out to them, they were able to fit me right in for a consultation and I had no issues with that and the person showed up on time. He even came with shoe covers, which was an unexpected bonus.

After their investigation, my assumptions were confirmed that it was due to my toilet water flapper being old where the wear and tear from overtime usage got to it. They provided a great quote and entertained a few ideas on if I wanted to upgrade other parts of the toilet, but at the end of the day, they fixed my issue on and stopped by the house all on the same day!

Purchased a new unit from this company about 3 years ago. I has had them service my old unit until it gave out. Joe did an excellent job on giving me options on my new unit. Had them out to look at our furnace. Everything after that has been an awful experience. Told me they wouldn’t look for the part unless I agreed to an estimate. Asked for an estimate, haven’t received anything. No update on if they can get the part. I understand HVAC companies would rather us replace equipment at every turn but when that day comes they won’t be the ones I call.

Service was not great. I was told they would be coming around 10am to do the service but did not show until after 12pm. Several items were left around my house and floors were not vacuumed well. I would have thought for the price it would have included cleaning of the grills. Cleaning ductwork and still having dust/bacteria from grills blowing around the house seems pointless. Prior service 2.5 years ago with this company was much better.

Andre was thorough and knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed the problem. The installation team, Alex and Adolfo, were skilled, efficient, hardworking, polite, and respectful of me and my property. Not only did he call out items as needed, he explained the importance of each need as well as how he would prioritize them to repair. Wasn’t trying to strong arm me into “getting it done today” either, which I also appreciated.

02/08/25 update - Tyler S came out to give me a 2nd opinion after City line told me I needed a new unit (home warranty required them). Tyler not only explained the repairs needed, he proved it by changing out the compactor to show that the circuit board was not fried. The fan that had previously not worked immediately kicked back on. When he recommended refrigerant, he pumped some into my system to show how much cooler it would run with it and recommend resealing it. All in all, I spent 13% of what the other company quoted me as "needed repairs" and my unit runs better than before.

Jordan arrived in a timely manner especially considering that it’s really hot and I’m sure they are very busy. He took the time to fully diagnose the problem and showed me exactly what was going on with the unit. Unfortunately it was end of life for the evap coil and condenser. I know enough about refrigeration to know he wasn’t just trying to sell me something. Offered several possible solutions. Completed the transaction on what I decided on and I’ll have a new AC/ heat unit by end of day tomorrow. Very professional and knowledgeable. Units these days are damn expensive, but that’s not his fault. Very satisfied with the service I received. Will recommend this company if asked where a good job can be found.

Rescue air sent a representative over promptly to address my AC issue. The representative (Jeff) was very thorough and very professional. I was impressed!

Zach was the technician who spent a bit over 2 hours repairing our Lennox system upstairs. He came prepared and it is a pleasure to see someone who knows what they're doing take a job on. This system was installed July 2019 by Rescue Air, but I have had loads of trouble with the iComfort T-stat system, particularly upstairs. Most of it appears due to the instability of my wifi 5G problem which was quickly fixed by using a 2.4GH wifi setting.
The other issue, that is to do with earlier techs, was the incompatibility of S-30 TStat with an E-30 Smart Hub. These were installed by RA techs at some point along the line of house calls for "repairs", but they were not experienced enough with Lennox a/c and much time and frustration resulted.
Today Zach came and demonstrated real expertise and quick resolution of the problem, even though it took more time to relocate the new E-30 TStat to a different wall upstairs. He discussed what I might expect if the system defaults to 5g vs 21.4 wifi and what to do about it.
Zach renewed my faith and confidence in RA. Thank you ZACH!!

I had some very specific and detailed questions about installing a particular thermostat and Andre understood what I was wanting to do and provided not only information about that, but he also included options for other ideas, listing the pros/cons of each. Ultimately, I doubt that I will go forward with Rescue Air and Plumbing, at least not at this time, but I can foresee using them in the future, especially if I could expect the level of service that Andre provided.

They don’t push excessive amounts of repairs or make them seem like your house is going to fall apart if you don’t take care of them immediately. I called Rescue to get a quote on duct cleaning so I could compare it to another company and I received same day service even though a snow storm was starting. The technician showed me how every vent was clean and that I didn't need that service, saving me $2,000! After discussing my system, I decided to add an air purifier which the technician installed on the spot in 30 minutes. I was particularly impressed with his technical knowledge, professionalism, integrity, competence, kindness, and courtesy. I will definitely call Rescue Air whenever a need arises in the future.
