SIARA DESIGNS recently completed a new landscape installation at our Richardson home and we couldn't be more pleased with Lena and her crew. We had a 30 foot oak trimmed, old shrubbery removed, new sod placed, automatic watering system optimized for better coverage, new beds designed, prepared and planted. We also had a brick walkway added and downspout diverted underground. All the jobs were done within just a week, done well and were reasonably priced. Lena is very responsive to questions and helpful solutions. Her designs are creative and she makes sure the job is done to her satisfaction and yours. Our experience with Lena last Summer was an absolute nightmare. Thousands of dollars paid and all she sent was laborers that spoke NO English! But she's too busy to come out & inspect their work herself, even after multiple calls about problems with what they did. Just a horrible experience!

Her team shows up on time, finishes their work, and then leaves our yard better and cleaner than it was before! She listened to what I was looking for, which plants I wanted to keep, etc. She quickly got to me a very reasonable estimate that included plant removal, mulching, new plants, labor, and a sprinkler audit, and then she sent me plant options that she thought would work best for my goal of replacing dead high maintenance plants with low maintenance yet hardy plants. Lena is incredibly knowledgeable - she could tell me what plant would/wouldn't work in a specific spot for numerous reasons. On the day of installation, she and her crew replaced tons of plants in my front yard quickly and efficiently, and the crew audited my sprinkler system. My yard looks brand new and so happy!! These guys did a phenomenal job trimming our huge tree and a large bush. Santos worked up in the tree for hours and did excellent work for a fair price. I HIGHLY recommend!

Lena and her team are effective, and we'd recommend them for edging and tree planting. We used them 3 times to (1) edge our front yard flowerbed and walkway, (2) plant our flowerbed, and (3) plant some new trees, and they stuck to their costs, timelines, and commitments.

Our only concern is on (2) - 1 year on, over half of the plants are dead despite tons of care and attention. In hindsight, it's clear that the plants should have been better selected for the amount of sun they're getting and the environment.

Completely ripped out front yard flowerbeds that had overgrown with unruly shrubs. Lena did our front and backyard design. While we met with other providers, for our first call to the free consultation, Lena offered the best customer service. Her consultation was very thorough and her cost was more than fair compared to other vendors. She worked with us on selections abd was incredibly responsive. I wish the email communication about all the plant options could be optimized for digital review, she never hesitated to get back to us to provide guidance and clarify info. The project ended early and she came by to review all final work and provide instructions for care. I highly recommend her company and would use her again.

Met Lena at a Home and Garden show in March and arranged for a quote to plant trees and build a knee wall around our patio. After rescheduling on me twice, she finally came April 1st. A week later, I sent her a text to see when I could expect a quote for the job. She didn't respond. Two weeks after that I sent another text and now almost one month later have heard nothing. Poor customer service in my book. My money will be spent somewhere else. If you are on a time driven schedule to get things done, I expect you to look elsewhere.

One of our rentals had a flower bed that was overgrown.

We contacted Siara and was able to schedule a consultation quickly. We explained our needs and Lena (the owner) was very responsive to what we were looking for - a general clean up of the overgrown shrubs and some new plants for the bed.

The crew came out quickly and was able to get the job done in 2 days. They were able to complete the project ahead of schedule. The whole process was smooth and the team did a great job removing the old shrubs and planting new ones. I've attached the "before" and "after" photos below.

We have been looking for a landscape designer who could redo our front yard from large overpowering hedge bushes. They had to chainsaw then use a stump grinder. We love our new design.

I contracted with Siara Designs based on the positive reviews I read; however, my experience has been far from satisfactory. Lena, the owner, agreed to install a border consisting of two parallel rows of edging filled with river rocks between my property and my neighbor's. Her crew, who spoke no English, did not measure properly which resulted in a border edging that veered off center by more than 9 inches when measured from the side of the house. In addition, two of the edgings were cut asymmetrically on the thickness side and left a ragged appearance at one end adjacent to the sidewalk, while the other end near the gate was not similarly cut. Lena left in the middle of the project and did not return. I called, texted, and emailed her concerning the problems. After claiming that she was ill, she eventually agreed to look at the edgings. Instead and without informing me first, she sent a workman and texted me only after he had left my property. I found the edging still crooked, now with gopher-like tunnels from messy back-filling adjacent to the edgings. She refuses to acknowledge responsibility and fix the problems.

Thanks to Siara Designs our muddy side yard is now clean and functional. We also had them plant a few trees. Everything looks great. We are so happy with the work.

Lena and her crew at Siara designs were top notch. We had a big job to basically redesign our entire front and backyard areas. Our budget was significant but not infinite and she did a great job of breaking down all of the various pieces we talked about during the on-site estimate so that we could pick and choose the portions of the project that we thought would have the largest impact and fit within the budget.

Her team arrived when expected and got the job done quickly considering the size of the project. Payments were made incrementally based on progress to ensure things would move along and I had only paid for the work that had been completed, which during the COVID-19 pandemic was appreciated in case work had to be paused due to the crisis.

We let Lena come up with the design and choose the plants with minimal guidance since we really know nothing about how to make a good looking landscape design. She did a great job of listening to our few likes and dislikes and walked us through every plant and what we could expect from it as it grew.

During the designing process, she emailed me the pictures of all the plants she picked so I could decide which one I liked. After the installation she emailed me the plants care instructions which my other landscape designer didn't do. A month or so after the installation, I called her for questions regarding the plants. She was gracious to come and check up on my plants. I will use her again.

Fantastic to work with, estimate was inline with others and fantastic final product. Lena came out and walked our property, took detailed notes, and provided a separate estimate for our drainage and landscaping projects. Turns out we could only do one this year, so we’ll be calling Lena and Siara Designs next year for the other.

It was a pleasure meeting Lena. She was just easy to work with and a very quick turn around. We needed to have our backyard tree canopies trimmed down and cleaned up. The price for 6 trees was fair and work was clean and quick. They even cleaned up some old leaves that I had been meaning to bag for a couple of months now. When we purchased our home 18 months ago, our courtyard area literally consisted of concrete and lava rock. I tried (unsuccessfully) to landscape it myself the first spring and knew I needed help. The first designer who came out sent an outrageous estimate (I could have purchased a new car for what she quoted!) and I decided to try to do it again myself. (Again, unsuccessfully) Then I read a review about Siara Designs and gave Lena a call. She came out for the initial meeting and I appreciated that she didn’t immediately try to tell me what I “should” do, or tell me what she had in mind. She listened when I told her the “look” I was going for and then walked me around the area and offered ideas and suggestions that fit the Zen/Meditation feel that I was hoping for.
She totally understood what I was trying to accomplish AND her estimate to complete the ENTIRE project – from soil to buying new planters and a garden statue - was so reasonable, my response was, “Where do I sign?”
Lena communicated with me about everything and even contacted me before spending a bit more than she had originally expected on a plant and wanted to make sure I was okay with that before moving forward. She and her crew arrived promptly and worked so hard (in blistering heat!) until the job was completed – way sooner than I anticipated.
She sent detailed instructions on how to take care of all the plantings and has continued to keep up with the project by asking how the plants are doing, etc. I’ve had a couple of questions and she responds promptly to my texts and never seems to be too busy for my questions.
If you’re thinking about doing ANY type of landscaping, please give Lena a chance to give you a quote! She is not only a talented and enthusiastic landscape designer, she’s a really great person who is a joy to meet.

We redoned the front yard landscaping of our old building and the landscaping for our new school also. We are really happy with the results. Lena made a clearly plan and design in detail.
