Dallas Plumbing & Air Conditioning in Dallas

I have used Dallas Plumbing & Air in the past, and really did not have an issue till this last time. I had a leaking toilet that they came out to fix. They replaced a Toilet Fill valve and the flapper/tip lever for $418.00. If that's overpriced so be it.

However that is not my issue, the tech asked me if I was having any other issues that he could address for me while he was there. I mentioned to him that I was hearing a gurgling sound from my island sink when I turned on the water in my kitchen sink. The technician went under the house and told me there was a back up and he needed his supervisor to come out and assess. The supervisor came back the next week and told me my pipes needed to be replaced and that I had two options: I could opt for replacing just the bad piece for $4000.00 (four thousand dollars) or the entire pipes for $16,000.00 (sixteen thousand dollars)! Yes you heard right.

To make a long story short, I called another very reputable local plumbing company that has been around for years, to assess and give me another opinion. They came out today, augured my pipes, unclogged the drain, cleaned the pipes out at charged me $150.00 (one hundred & fifty dollasr).

I am appalled at the thievery that is going on at Dallas Plumbing & Air. They should be ashamed of themselves. Do NOT use them.

Dallas Plumbing, most responsive and skilled. Over the past 9 months, we had much need for a reliable plumbing company. We had a house flood last August, in December we replaced our showers/baths and toilets. In March we put our house on the market. During that time, we had numerous plumbing needs - each was completed perfectly and in a timely manner. Heck, we began to consider
Jay, the lead plumber who was consistently there for each request - even when we had an emergency situation. We began to think of him as family. Seriously, whether it’s a small job or a large one, it’s great to know you can trust Dallas Plumbing. Believe me, not the case with most vendors

They were on time, very polite and did an excellent examination on my two units, showing me pictures to confirm the results.

Coming out in the evening -as it’s getting dark-to repair the AC wire that I cut with hedge clippers today 😩 They were very professional, quick, but thorough in making the repair -showing me pictures and explaining everything. The service call was very reasonably-priced and they were a pleasure to work with! FIVE stars!!

Michael was a pleasure to deal with. When everything was done, he took time to show me all the pictures he had taken and more importantly, what’s the pictures represented.

I had a scheduled maintenance service call with Dallas Plumbing & Air. Michael Núñez was dispatched to our house. He's professional, respectful of property, clean, personable, thorough in explaining his process in HVAC system inspection/evaluation. Always kept me appraised of his progress. As a client/ service member, when I have my next call with DP&AC I'll definitely request Michael for service again, he seems to be a solid worker with excellent customer service skills.

It seems as they don't have time to come when they say between 1-3. You sit always waiting on some one just in case they come early. Have a wet bathroom as AC is leaking through wall from AC. Just had service on May 12/2025 too! It has been leaking in closet for awhile now. Have called again said tomorrow between 8- 11. We
will pray for the best.

I have used Dallas Plumbing for several years and they were always professional easy to work with extremely thorough and competitive in price. I highly recommend them. Gailyn just left my house and I can tell you that he was the most professional and courteous technician that has ever been here. I highly recommend the company and their technicians.

Olvis was fantastic. He explained what he was doing, offered suggestions for lengthening the life of our water heater, and was kind and courteous. Highly recommend!

Very overpriced (1.5x higher than one of their well-known reputable competitors). The first tech was friendly and professional but called in a supervisor who made my wife feel as if they were pressuring her to make a decision without me on a nearly 10 thousand dollar repair.

Supervisor called me and tried to pressure me to sign over the phone after hearing 5 seconds of details and not even seeing the estimate.

When I told them I wouldn’t make any decision until I got home, they called me several more times throughout the day to ask if I’d made a decision. When I finally called them back to tell them I wouldn’t move forward, the supervisor hung up the phone on me without a word.

This morning they’ve called me 2 times between 8-10am and emailed me 2 times to collect on a $550 dollar for unclogging the sink.

Would not recommend based on my experience - the only person who acted with professionalism was the first tech who came out. Everybody else acted as if they only cared about getting us to sign and pay as fast as possible.

Dakota with Dallas Plumbing went far above and beyond to solve our plumbing problem. Additionally, his interpersonal skills and customer service ethics are exceptional. Dakota truly made a positive difference with our difficult issue!

Of course the AC went out one day before a holiday weekend with several guests headed our way. Dallas Plumbing sent Michael over within a couple hours of the initial call. Michael expertly diagnosed the problem and repaired all in the same day! Dallas Plumbing is large enough to have the staff and inventory to address virtually any problem immediately. But, as a family-owned business, small enough to show actual concern for customers’ problems.

I appreciated the service Friday afternoon before a holiday weekend. Alex was polite and proficient. He made for an exceptional experience during a stressful day. He made my day much better!

We recently replaced a complete HVAC system that reached the end of its useful life. Because of the complexity of the removal of the old system and installation of the new one, we chose Dallas Plumbing & Air Conditioning to perform the work, based on several professional references, When Walter and Danny arrived with the new system, all apprehensions were removed as it was apparent they knew exactly what to do. The old system was removed with minimum disruption and the new system was quickly and professionally installed! This comes from a very satisfied homeowner who is/was not the easiest to deal with. Bottom line, if you are considering the replacement of an old HVAC system. you can't go wrong with Dallas Plumbing as your contractor and be sure to ask for Walter and Danny as your installers. You will not be disappointed!

May 2025 followup to the above, Michael and Carlos were here for a spring checkup of the 2 new units referenced above. Some problems were found and they very professionally solved the issues. It is truly a pleasure to deal with knowledgeable technicians who have the latest equipment and thoroughly understand what they are doing. If you are requesting service, ASK for these guys!

Our recent experience with Dallas Plumbing and Air Conditioning was thoroughly disappointing and, frankly, felt like an attempt at an unnecessary upsell. When our hot water heater stopped working, we initially contacted them. Over the phone, despite not having seen the unit, they immediately suggested we would likely need a new water heater based solely on its age (2014). This premature diagnosis felt incredibly shifty.

We attempted to cancel the appointment after this call, explicitly stating we were not interested in their "upsell tactics." However, they showed up anyway. Upon arrival, we reiterated our position to the technician, who assured us he understood and proceeded to examine the water heater.

His assessment was that the pilot light wouldn't stay lit due to a potential gas line issue (which turned out to be incorrect) and then told us the unit needed to be replaced - giving us two expensive solutions: a new control valve for $1,300 or a completely new water heater for a staggering $3,500. We declined his costly recommendations, feeling our initial concerns about upselling were validated. The technician insisted on his 30 years of experience, but this did little to inspire confidence given the context.

Seeking a second opinion, we called Legacy Plumbing. Their technician quickly identified the actual problem: a simple GFCI-like reset button on the pilot light that needed to be held to keep it lit. This was presented as an obvious troubleshooting step, something the Dallas Plumbing technician apparently missed or chose to ignore. The fix was simple and cost a mere $190.

The contrast between the two companies was stark. Dallas Plumbing and Air Conditioning seemed intent on pushing expensive, unnecessary repairs, while Legacy Plumbers accurately diagnosed and fixed the issue efficiently and affordably. We would caution others to be wary of Dallas Plumbing and Air Conditioning's diagnostic methods and pricing.

Update 5/9/2025: Joseph came out to service my unit he was a nice and knowledgeable technician. When he serviced the unit he found a leak in one of my coils, he showed me where the leak was and then promptly contacted Chris his supervisor. He then came out and also checked everything and then came up with a plan to get it fixed under warranty. They also went above and beyond to top the unit with Freon so that it would stay cooling while we wait for the parts. I would recommend Dallas Plumbing to my family and friends. Another 5 star service.

This company is in bankruptcy. They suggested I replace my hot water heater for greater than $5000. This did NOT fix the problem. Once they took my money, no one answered my calls or texts. They will not make the problem right, yet they were quick to take my money. A follow up with a reputable company identified the actual problem and fixed it.

Dallas Plumbing has been bought by folks that are not reputable and are in bankruptcy. They will scam you and then disappear because you can’t touch them in bankruptcy.

AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. DANGER. DANGER. DANGER.

He was a great. He found out how fix the issue and turned off the gas and got the grill set to be moved.

So very disappointed in this well known local company. I enrolled in their monthly plan for twice yearly checks on the A/C and heating system . I made an appointment and they no-showed . I called them and they rescheduled for the following day . They no-showed again , no call , no nothing . I was willing to give them another chance and rescheduled the following week. The weather was bad in the early morning and they called at 0730 but did not leave message . When I called them back, they said the’d have to cancel because of the weather, ( but it was already dry by 0900 ) I spoke with dispatch and she apologized and gave me another day . I waited in all morning and they no-showed again !
I called and asked to speak with a manager . They never called . I waited a week and called again to request to speak with a manager . That was two days ago, and I have heard nothing !
I am now going to have to call my bank to get my money back on a monthly contract that I signed in good faith . I am very upset with this company because I have had good experiences with them in the past . Sadly, would not recommend .

A few weeks ago I (made the mistake of) having a new A/C unit installed by Dallas Plumbing and A/C. The unit would continually stop working due to condensate constantly backing up into the unit. After Dallas Plumbing made multiple unsuccessful attempts to fix the problem, I finally called roto rooter. They explained that the condensate plumbing was in at least 2 ways installed incorrectly (by Dallas Plumbing). A mere 1300$ later, the A/C unit is now working properly. It is amazing to me that w/ the word "plumbing" in their name, they can't get that kind of stuff right!

My HVAC unit was serviced today by Michael who is an outstanding, polite and knowledgeable HVAC technician. He took the time to provide a detailed review of the service he performed and disucssed a minor issue that he fixed with electrical wire. I would like to have Michael assigned to my account as my HVAC tech.

We had a leak of unknown origins in our house, and to make matters worse, we were in the midst of selling the place. We called Dallas Plumbers (the Dallas location) and that same day they sent out Jay and his trainee who did a methodical and thorough examination of every aspect of our plumbing. It turned out to be slow leakage from our toilets, which Jay completely addressed right away. When an unrelated leak caused by an earlier contractor made itself known a few days later, Jay came back and not only fixed that; he also rechecked the earlier work. If you need a plumber you can’t go wrong calling Jay. Knowledgeable, thoughtful, thorough, and a dog lover - and at all times sensitive to our needs and respectful of our home. And he is backed up by friendly and efficient scheduling folks. We know for sure who we will call next time we need help with our plumbing!

Dustin was one of the most courteous and competent technicians we have ever had. He listened to my concerns, came well equipped for the jobs at hand, and summarized the work he had done addressing my issues. He was thoughtful, perceptive, and efficient. Safety should be a high priority. I'm sure this one driver doesn't represent the whole company. However employees driving companies vehicles should not only follow the law, but also know they drive a giant billboard. 02/19/2025 at 0535 driving East bound on George Bush between Dallas North Tollway and Preston. One of your employees was speeding and was going to attempt to cut another vehicle off. Well, I was driving 5MPH below the speed limit 70MPH. That was due to the fact of the current downfall of snow. When the gap between my vehicle and the vehicle in the lane to my left closed. Your driver decided to not only tailgate me, but also flashed their high beams for me to move. Once the opportunity was available they sped up again. The aggressive nature of your employee is the reason for my review. The driving style of the employee is dangerous and a major liability for your company. I hope the vehicles are monitored via speed sensors and a camera so you can review and verify all the information provided.

Jay came out today to check out a potential gas leak in our home. He was so kind, courteous and respectful and really listened to what my concerns were. Luckily, it wasn't nearly as big of a problem as we were preparing for, but we were definitely blessed to have someone like Jay. I can't say enough good things about him and Dallas Plumbing Co is lucky to have him on their staff. Thanks, Jay!

Dallas Plumbing & Air Conditioning has serviced our Fall and Spring Maintenace for several years. The most recent rep Travis did a great job with testing our compressor that we just paid for a year ago from another company. He was able to detect it and let us know that the compressor went bad.

I only gave 4 stars because they have not showed up a couple times in the past when we booked an appointment without any call or text notice.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - ZERO INTEGRITY. Third party customer service in another state. Not BBB accredited. Pending lawsuits galore. They have caused floods, fires, foundation issues. You name it. Just google it.
Some of these reviews are from employees as a save Mary to save this failing company. It’s not that hard to see. There are far more better family owned companies that actually care.

Don't BE FOOLED. Dallas Plumbing isn't 'Dallas' at all...they are a large national corporation with a web of complicated layers and hurdles that prevent you from working on complaints. They take advantage of the elderly, they over price and make unnecessary repairs. They charged outrageous prices and left a muddy mess in the house as well as pipes and concrete in the alley. What a nightmare this company is! Stay away.

Travis Holmes was professional and completed work in time frame mentioned. The need for a damper system was mentioned for the first time since Dallas Plumbing and Air Conditioning techs have been maintaining the system they installed a year and a half ago. Original installers never spoke about it, supervisor never stated anything about it and the previous 2 techs never said anything about it. Now I'm going to get a special visit from a supervisor to "analyze" the duct work. The system DPAC installed is warrantied for 12 years the way they installed it.

Just for clarification, the tech did a fine job. My lack of trust extends solely to Dallas Plumbing and Air and our past relationship.

During a routine six month A/C checkup, the technicians, Joseph and Walter found an issue with the air conditioner portion of the unit, of which my wife and I were unaware of (it was early February). After quite a bit of troubleshooting, they found that the Nest thermostat was at fault. Interestingly, when Dallas Plumbing did the install two years earlier, we opted to keep the Nest thermostat instead of a replacement. Bad decision as it turns out. Dallas Plumbing was amazing, and replaced the bad Nest thermostat with a Honeywell wifi thermostat, installed, and set up by Joseph and Walter within the hour. No charge. Both technicians were professional, knowledgeable, patient, clean, and extremely polite. Aaron and Scott back in the office also went above and beyond to make sure we were completely satisfied with the experience. Thank you !!

Alex, Armando, Terrence and Steven did a great job on very short notice. We needed a new water heater and we had concerns from smelling gas. Steven identified and repaired the gas leak. Alex, Armando and Terrence replaced our water heater within 3 hours. Great job!!

Dallas Plumbing is my go-to and work was good. Just seemed way, way too expensive . . .😔

I had a very frustrating experience with this company. They advertise reliable and affordable drain cleaning services, but that couldn't be further from the truth. They charged me an outrageous $359 for a 5-10 minute service. To make matters worse, the technician gave an incorrect diagnosis, claiming my house’s pipe was broken and that I would need to replace the entire sewer system for around $60k. This incorrect assessment stressed me out for several days. After getting a second opinion, I learned there was nothing wrong with the pipes. I feel misled, overcharged, and deeply frustrated by this experience. I would not recommend this company and strongly advise others to get a second opinion before trusting their assessments.

Do not use these people. They quoted me a price to fix a toilet that was $650 more than anyone else and it was not even an urgent call. That was during normal business hours. The trip charge of $119 should have also been a warning sign, but I was just not thinking. I will NEVER call them again.

Walter is a great tech. I would recommend him and DALLAS PLUMBING to all my friends.

Our install team, Alex & Armando, were awesome, and they stayed late on a freezing cold evening to install same day when our hot water heater gave out. Y’all are awesome, and thank you again!
