I called Workman Plumbing previously for a time sensitive issue and Matt’s quick response, honesty and transparency diagnosing what may be wrong, and the quality of the resulting work is what really stands out. I called again for several less urgent items to fix and the experience was consistent…on-time, very professional, transparent with pricing up front, and explains what is wrong and the options available. Pricing is very reasonable. Overall great customer service. I highly recommend Matt and his team for any plumbing needs. I will definitely be using them again when needed.

Our water heater pipe sprung a leak on one of the coldest days this year. I called Matt and he quickly and accurately diagnosed our problem from photos I sent him. He was able to come out to check on the pipe and flabbergasted to find that the previous plumber had taped over a missing part!! Of course Matt repaired it well and restored my faith in plumbers. I am so thankful I found Matt on Google and he’s the real deal!

I really cannot say enough about Workman Plumbing. The excellence of their professionalism, work ethic, work knowledge/ability, and honesty in pricing is unmatched. I only wish I could find this caliber of service person and service work for every home maintenance need we have. We will never use anyone else as long as we are in Dallas. Look no further. Trust, Competency and Fairness. These are the essential qualities by which I measure contractors and trades folks. Would I have Workman Plumbing back for another job? Without question. I'd trust these guys in my home if I was away. My job was supposed to have been simpler (in my mind), but as the solution was examined, Workman explained that to do the job correctly, much more time, material and cost would be involved. And they completely explained why the additional work was needed, and explained the improvements and peace of mind it would bring to our 100 year old house. They quoted a reasonable price and estimated faithfully the time it would take to completion. I know nothing of plumbing other than stuff rolls downhill, but I think Workman went to great lengths to deliver the best work at the most reasonable price and I'm grateful to have hired these guys. And they are an exceptionally clean group as well!

Update 2/2025
We continue to hold Workman in high regard and remain complimentary of their work after contracting them to replace a water heater on short notice (it's not like a warning light is going to get your attention). Workman was prompt to make the appointment and schedule the replacement immediately the next morning. Workman is very respectful of property, laying out mats and protection along the work surface and their work path. They had to replace a hot water supply line that was about fail as well showing the condition and describing why they felt it was important to perform at the time of heater installation.

Plumbing work is expensive. Over time I've learned that it's rarely just one problem to repair, so it's important to find a plumber you can trust and be confident that the work they're doing is competent, essential and necessary. Workman is that company.

Matt and his team are super responsive, professional, transparent, and do great work. It's a great feeling as a homeowner when you know you can trust and rely on a service provider - highly recommend!

Can I give more stars? I was stressing out about calling a plumber this morning because you never know what you will get. Based on the Google reviews, I called Workman Plumbing and talked with Matt. He said they were booked, and he couldn't get to me until tomorrow. Then he said let me see if we can get you in today between 9am -11am. True to his word, he and Kaleb came. He is super nice, and very honest. Let me tell you why I say this, I had two issues. One was with my toilet. My uncle came over the prior day to look at it and told me what he thought the issue was, but he couldn't fix it. Matt took a look and immediately told me what the issue was, spot on with my uncle's diagnosis. He didn't try to talk me into something I didn't need. My other issue was with a leak under my kitchen sink, which was due to the garbage disposal. He gave me the option to purchase my own and he could come back and install, which would be cheaper for me, or to purchase one from him - which was still reasonably priced. Let me tell you, the Google reviews were spot on! My issues were quickly resolved, and I didn't go broke trying to get them resolved! The team was in time and quick to do the work. Quick response when I reached out for help - shutting down gas and water lines to an apartment and got a range of prices for the work which I appreciated because I at least wanted to be prepared for the sticker shock. After the work was complete I was told I had the best case scenario and paid the lower price on my range. Even if it had been the top end i still appreciated knowing what to prepare for. Team was reliable and I’ll have them back for my next project.

Matt & Caleb came out today and took care of a repair for my commode and a loose fixture in my shower. Not just that, Matt educated me on general and important maintenance that needs to be considered for every homeowner. He went through my home and did some important troubleshooting and found a clear and visible problem with my water heater pipes and connector that could have turned into an even bigger problem and huge expense. What I was also impressed with was the way Matt & Caleb spoke to each other, with mutual respect and kind formalities. You don’t see that everyday in any business or industry. And the cherry on top? Workman plumbing was a life saver! Woke up to no hot water at all on a day when it turned cold outside. Was scrambling to find a plumber. Originally called and reached the company’s voicemail. However, Matt, the owner called back promptly. He said he didn’t have any availability today but he would be happy to have me FaceTime him and he could probably walk me through the solution. We FaceTimed and it didn’t fix the problem so he asked where I was located. It turns out I was right down the street from where he was. He said he could come by in the next ten minutes. He arrived and within 30 minutes fixed the problem. Talk about great customer service! Matt is professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, and obviously willing to go the extra mile. He also explains what the problem is very c and what the solution is in a very clear way. I will definitely be using him again!

I had previously used Workman Plumbing for some small projects & was very pleased with Matt’s work. So when I had a water leak I called Matt to see if he could find it & repair it. He replaced a valve which was old & rusting through, hoping that was it. Unfortunately it wasn’t & needed to do a yard dig to find the leaking line. He gave me a quote & we agreed on pricing. Excavation company came & exposed the line, then the crew came & replaced the old line with new & added a second valve for sprinkler system. Excavation company came back & filled in the trench beautifully.I am very happy with the work done, everyone did a great job. Matt and his crew at Workman Plumbing did an amazing job on some tricky repairs that others have not been able to figure out. I will not ever use a different company for any plumbing issues.

They fixed the problem within 3 hours after I contacted them. They're so nice, reasonably priced and will recommend and use them again.

We had a pipe come loose under the kitchen sink spewing grunge from the garbage disposal all over the cabinet and leaving stinking water standing on the bottom. (I should have taken a picture of it. Disgusting!) I called Workman Plumbing late in the workday. The business owner, Matt, immediately set up an appointment for the next morning. He arrived right on time.
We got a valuable lesson about hiring someone on the cheap. The person who installed the garbage disposal did a terrible job. Water didn’t drain well and stagnant water and scum settled in the pipes and exploded up into the sink when the disposal ran.
Matt took the whole mess apart and put it back properly, even accommodating the pull out trashcan! (The other guy had previously cut a chunk out of the trashcan to make it fit.). We found this company via a lot of great recommendations on next door. I called them to take a look at a leak that we found coming out of an odd drain pipe behind our dishwasher. Matthew and his team quickly identified the problem and resolved the issue for us in a quick and professional manner. We’re definitely calling him and his team for our next plumbing needs!

Fast forward a year later and we had some issues with our crawl space due to AC and really old pipe issues. We ended up having to replace all our old pipes and used this great company again. I was impressed last year but this year they went above and beyond by addressing a few things that weren’t exactly a part of their work like cutting up a limb in our front yard that had fallen, putting up some flashing in our roof that was needed, etc. Nothing we asked for or paid for. Just good people looking out for you.

Let me tell you, I have gone through 2 other plumbers since moving to DFW area in 2015 and these guys are by far the best experience I have had. I had them come out because I had a leaky cold water stem valve in my main shower. We have a panel that is adjacent to a bedroom closet so they have easy access to the pipes. They not only fixed the issue with the valve, but also discovered some SHOTTY WORK done by the previous plumber 5 years ago. The other plumbers did not even connect the drain valve to my shower. Every time we would take a shower water was just pouring into our crawl space and we had not idea.

So happy these guys came out. They were honest, fair, and very nice to talk too. We had just put fresh paint on the bathroom floor and these guys walked in the house with shoe coverings so we were very pleased with how they treated our house. Will not be using any other plumbers in this area. Do yourself a favor and use these guys for all your plumbing needs.

We had a problem with our main house drain being slow and of course it was late on Friday night. Spoke with Matt early Saturday morning and he was already booked but gave me an upfront estimate. We were able to make it through Sunday and Matt showed up on time Monday and quickly rectified the issue. He also provided multiple options for resolving the issue with our old cast iron piping. A year ago, I had a clog between my final toilet and the sewer. I had someone come out and take care of it. It cost over $1200 total (just the sewer part, I had him do other things) for two visits. He convinced me I needed to pull the commode and re-set it as we couldn't find the cleanout. A week later, the cleanout exploded (just the cap) and sprayed my weeks worth of sewage into the yard. We found it though 🙂 I was charged both times where I think it was the same problem and the guy pulled and re-set my commode and pushed the clog farther down the sewage line. He never camera'd the lines and he took basically all day.

Today, I had the exact same issue with the exact same spot and symptoms. This time luckily, i had better troubleshooting skills because of my problems last year (root cause is solved now thankfully). I started searching and found a post on /r/askdfw recommending Workman Plumbing with a wholesome story.
I had Matt come out to my house today. Before he got to my house, we agreed on a price for several POTENTIAL services, including if he had to pull the commode. He was like I don't want to do that lol it's so much work, I'm positive I can get you going from the cleanout.
It was astronomically lower than the last plumber I paid. He came out to my house, was done in under half an hour, used a camera to the street and to the toilet (last guy no cameras, and I have been upcharged for this service in the past), educated me about many things about my home - gave me a general "health" of my actual sewage lines that are terra cotta and cast iron.
I'm in and out for $300.

This guy doesn't spend money on marketing. He is reinvesting into his business. He's local to White Rock Lake and Arlington areas. He was a pleasure to deal with. I can't recommend highly enough. This is the experience you want.

During the recent freeze my outside faucet sprung a leak and was shooting about 8-9 feet into the air. Called the guy who replaced the aging faucet a year ago and no reply. I was driving home from an appointment and noticed Matt and his truck at my neighbors house. He was finishing up a repair and I drove up and asked Matt if he had time to take a look. I could tell he was a little stressed because he had 4 more visits for repairs but he drove down, got out and had my faucet soldered back to working order in about 30 minutes. I called for a yard leak that might have been plumbing, might have been irrigation, couldn’t tell. Apparently I asked him too many questions and he ended up storming off why I have no idea. Very strange encounter. Guy acted like a real jerk.
One day later I had a sprinkler guy out who took about 10 min to figure out I had a main water line leak off a 1.5 in pipe, nothing to do with irrigation. Now I need another plumber out. Guess I should be grateful if you don't want to work I will get someone else.

The day after my initial call, they came out to complete a thorough evaluation. Based on the results of that evaluation, they offered me a range of potential solutions and described the costs and benefits associated with each option. There was absolutely no pressure to choose the most expensive option, which is a common practice with other firms. A few days later, they were able to add me to their schedule. They removed the old water heater, repaired a very dangerous gas shutoff valve that the previous homeowner had left behind the water heater, and then installed the new water heater. The price was incredibly reasonable, the quality of the installation was top-notch, and the communication throughout the process was stellar. I highly recommend the Workman team and will definitely be calling them again.

Matt and his team were great. Super friendly, very professional, even helped adjust my sink drain without me asking (or charging me). They also saw my wife pulling out the trash cans, and offered to help. My one maybe downside is the cost - $375 to replace a Moen shower cartridge seems high, BUT they did provide the quote before they came out, so it wasn't a surprise for me, and they fixed everything in 20 min. I think their professionalism and friendliness outweighs any additional cost I may have incurred.
