Teter's Faucet Parts Center in Dallas

Very impressed with the expansive inventory of a hard-to-find part for a 50 year old Delta faucet. Before driving down from Richardson, I was able to confirm that they had what I needed by sending them pictures via text message.

UPDATE Nov 2024: For someone not in plumbing trade I bought enough shower cartridges from them 2016-2024. Original purchase made to save me being charged by independent plumber driving to Dallas to get part. So I went. In Apr 2024 I bought two cartridges to save a future trip just in case. Used one. But there was a flaw in brand so opted to replace entire shower manifold and associated parts with leak in Oct 2024. Should have done that way back when. Now that I had a different brand I returned the unused shower cartridge bought in Apr 2024. Got my money back no hassle. So if you need a unique part this is place to go. UPDATE May 2023: return visit to get same replacement shower faucet cartridge I bought in 2016. Plus a toilet handle for one that just broke. I called day before with part nr. from prior invoice and they confirmed they had item in stock. I bought two just in case but will probably leave one behind when sell house for next owner since part hard to get. See photos I posted. Plenty of parking on side of building see sign. 1st Review 2016: If they don't have your plumbing gadget you don't need it. Great service for first time customer. Recommended by my plumber who said they are the go-to place to find hard to get and standard fixtures. They move the line quickly. This ain’t self service like the big box approach. Thank heavens- their approach actually works- every time.

The staff is extremely knowledgeable and always willing to help—whether I know exactly what I need or I’m just describing a problem. They carry parts and specialty items you just can’t find at the big box stores, which has saved me time and frustration more than once. The older guy in customer service was very rude. I only asked him 2 questions and he was very impatient even it would take him only one minute to answer. Not sure why this shop keeps employee like him. It doesn't help this business.

Rude staff. No patience. I as a customer asked questions about water values for my shower he told me I am asking too many questions and he has to stop talking to me since he had a group of people waiting. I told him I am a customer just like they are. You would have to answer each one of their questions as well. If you continue to cut off customers your not fit for the job. This place is a joke!!!

Had an old faucet with a broken diverter stem. Called Monday. Texted pictures of what I needed and received them on Wednesday. How did I not know this place existed. Amazing.

I have been coming here for years. Anything you could possibly need is here. This is where all the plumbing trades go to source items and for whatever specialty items that Home Depot and Lowe’s don’t carry. Every person that works here is helpful and an expert. Reasonably priced. They have saved me many a time.

I've been to this place a lot of times, and they always have what I need, they are very helpful, you can bring your old part and show it to them and they'll know exactly what you need, I don't mind driving 45 minutes to this place because I know they would help me out with what I need, all the staff is amazing.

I found parts that nobody else carried. On my way out I found an item that I had just bought at big box store for $99 for $79.... identical item cheaper and made it worth the long trip to get here. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

This place is a practical lifesaver. I drove all over north Dallas for these shower faucet parts and found them here, and I was in and out in 5 minutes.

My husband periodically sends me in with a photo or video of what he needs. I am clearly just the parts runner, and not the expert in this situation. I normally deal with Blake or Dimitri. Today was different, I got some guy in a red shirt, I had never noticed before. (I am confident he is wearing a red shirt because he needs extra time to develop his customer service skills.) Right off the bat he made me feel like I was holding up an imaginary line behind me and he couldn’t get through this transaction fast enough. I tried to show him the video/picture and he glazed over like I was clearly taking up his time. When he asked me what part I needed, I said, “I am not really sure.” He smugly replied, “I don’t know, I wasn’t there.” Now that all my dreams of being a lady, shopping at a plumbing supply, to be made to feel stupid have come true, I knew it was time to FaceTime my hubby. Top it off, this sales guy was clearly irritated I was making a call at the counter but I didn’t know what else to do.

Came in with a list of exact part numbers I needed for an important job, the cashier was quick and recognized the part. The reason for the 1star is because of the attitude of the man in the pink polo. I asked if the part was compatible/interchangeable with my faucet, since the part number didn’t exactly match the OEM part #. I just wanted to save myself a 2nd trip and get it right the first time, but he didn’t seem to care.

He was not only stubborn but he was also rude when answering my question. He also had made a snarky comment as I was leaving the store.

The price I would’ve paid was fair to me since it was urgent, but after that I left with a bad taste in my mouth and decided to not even ask for the additional parts I was looking for. I got in the car and immediately bought the parts online from the manufacturer instead. Not going to support if this is the norm for customer service.

Called to ask an honest question to see if Teters had the capability to help us with a speciality plumbing part, got the reply, "A P-L-U-M-B-E-R would do that for you, ma'am."
Don't call if you're a capable, handy woman. Have a man call for you...🙄

I would get VE them 10 stars if I could. I have a home built in 1958. I had a leaky hose bib. That Ali Al plumber wanted $1800 to tear into the wall and install an entire new hose bibb. I showed Teters the issue and it cost me $32 in parts and I fixed it in 30 minutes.. these guys are the best

Went to 3 different places prior to Teter’s. Time I will never get back, after a good 2hrs talking to the Big Box stores, one of THE BIG BOX store employees finally told me to just go to Teter’s!
Teter’s had my part in literally 30 seconds! You spend more time than that just walking to your aisle at the Big Box stores.
Do yourself a favor, save time and money and and just go to the best, Teter’s.

Had the hard to find parts in stock!

Purchased a transfer valve kit that turned out to be defective. Refused to replace it when I took it back and showed how it was defective. I put the old one back in and it moved the water between the faucet and the shower while the new one did not. The new on just kept rotating. The seller does not appear to have any arrangement to send defective parts back to the manufacturer. Also parts are overpriced. Items can be found online for 40% less with full refunds for defective items.

Went today to fit my 1950s home with new tub and shower hardware -- stems, handles, etc.
the Big Box stores didn't carry the stems I needed.
The guys at this place were friendly and knew right away what parts I needed to get my shower up and running.
HD and L's is very limited.
Anyway, I got acrylic shower handles that have a mid-century custom look. They are going to look wonderful !! This place is great!

Worst customer service I’ve dealt with in any shop. I had the model number of what I needed and they wouldn’t take it or tell me if they even sold Krowne products and hung up the phone TWICE. Actually insane how people this horrendous have a job in customer service. If the old white man doesn’t want to work, no one is forcing to be there and quit. Great place with TERRIBLE FRONT DESK EMPLOYEES.

I have gone to Teter's on a number of occasions to find parts that are not available at the "big box" stores and they have come through for me each and every time, and as a home repair business owner, that gives me peace of mind when taking on jobs that has need of hard to find faucet parts. Their professional knowledge and expertise coupled with their willingness to assist the customer is refreshing. I will always go to Teter's!

Best place for plumbing supplies

I was referred to call Teter's plumbing. I have Moen faucet the leaking up inside the faucet itself and had changed to cartridge out but still leaking. I called to get input or help with diagnosis. Originally when called, the a guy was nice and suggested check the spray head didn't see any leak. I called back to see if any other help or ideas. I talked to Jack who was rude and not pleasant to deal with. I was explaining what had happened and he said call Moen and then hung up without letting me finish or ask my question.

As a lifelong resident of DFW, I can say that this is THE PLACE to go for your plumbing parts needs. I've been doing my own work (when I feel qualified) for over 40 years and, from the first time I was told by a friend to come here, to every return visit, they have had the EXACT parts that I needed.

You might get lucky and find the same part at the big box stores, but when you go to Teter's, you can rest assured that they WILL ALWAYS HAVE THE PART IN STOCK. The prices are also right in line with the big box stores.

If I had to find a fault, I guess it's the fact that they aren't open on Saturdays, but hey, I like my weekends off work as well.

I literally got chills when the young man brought the CORRECT parts up to the front desk and set them down in front of me!
None of the big names had what I needed, a H&C stem for a shower for a home that was built in the 50’s. And still had the original parts installed. It was a nightmare, until some one told me to try this little place that’s been around for a long while. Thank God I did.

Rude people here, walked in looking all over the place for a part and when I tried to ask an employee he said "I'm not ready for you now" WTH kinda business is this! I looked some more and then left without any of them offering help. I'll go take my business elsewhere.

Came in to grab some Mansfield toilet flappers. Staff was helpful in identifying the parts I needed. My favorite place to stop when in Dallas for all my plumbing supplies.

Wouldn’t let me swap part out because it wasn’t sealing right had receipt of purchase said he wouldn’t return it because it was opened already but you can’t tell something works until you open it. Needless to say I’m out a 75$ cartridge and lost a lot of respect for the customer service at teeters.

Lived in Dallas my whole life and first time learning about Tester's. There's something to be said about a business that's been around since the 30's. Skip home Depot or Lowe's and visit an store where they actually care and can help you. They had the part I needed, at a lower price than the big box stores. Will be coming back and recommending.

Had just what I was looking for.

I got my part in less than 5 minutes. The guy took a look at my existing catridge and brought one out in less than 1 minutes. I went to home Depot, Lowes, Elliot hardware and was not able to get it.

If you can get past the rudeness, they carry just about anything you need. Warning! Better have a master plumbers vocabulary otherwise you might be better off going somewhere else.

The only people shopping here are plumbers which at first glance seems to lend credence, then you realize its because they are passing the absurd price markup on to their unsuspecting customers. Inventory part selection is typically limited, receipt required for any return (its 2021 get an electronic solution to transaction tracking). This place just reminds me of other business that are now bankrupt for failure to innovate. Check out Moore Supply for a real plumbing store.

Called about a question I had on a part I was looking for, a real sweat heart named Dimitri answered the phone. I asked him if they had a curtain part I was looking for, he proceeded to tell me that the size I had didn’t exist. I replied I disagree because I in fact have that size in a very respectful manner. He said that’s fine you can disagree with me all you want, then proceeded to hang up the phone. I was mind blown, and proceeded to call back to speak with someone who could help me, or maybe even a manager. But thanks to caller ID he clearly made sure that didn’t happen.

The employees were rude and unprofessional. We don't know much about plumping they were unhelpful.

Normally Teters is just fantastic. They can find and help you identify anything else you specially those unique older replacement parts that have no identification. However my most recent experience was so frustrating I had to write about it in hopes that their management can recognize and fix before it hurts their reputation.

The winter storms were hard on everyone and plumbing supplies were scavenging like an apocalyptic event. I had to replace a shower valve for one of our residents and of course Teters was my go-to. They quickly identified the part but obviously nothing was in stock. They stated they had more coming in and that it shipped 4 days earlier so it should be there the following Tuesday. I went so far as to ask if there would be enough which Dan confirmed over 10+ and that it wouldn’t be an issue. I asked for the part number in case I needed to order it again for another resident. They oddly wouldn’t give it to me but that it would be on the receipt when I picked it up. I figured it was their way to ensure I wouldn’t go somewhere else to buy. Fair enough. Still they said they’d take my name and call me when it arrived. Great!

I waited for a week and decided to proactively reach out to them since I didn’t hear. They stated they had none in stock. Frustrating but I understand that things are crazy and asked what my options were as I have a deadline to fix.

The nice gentleman who took my call apologized and stated he could order me a non-oem part to be here on March 12th. It’s cheaper and faster as the others are now back ordered. Great. My name on the list again.

March 12th comes and I called. Dan takes my call and states he doesn’t have it and doesn’t know when. Frustrating again but to add to that was Dan’s flippant attitude. When I tried to explain the situation and how frustrated I was he said “You’re not anything special. We just don’t know when it will arrive or ship”. Clearly this was not helpful and he had no response for any of the previous commitments they provided. To get me off the phone he stated he’s just cancel my order. I asked for the part number which he gave me and hung up abruptly.

Inventory is scarce. I get it. Making a commitment twice and assuring me it would be there by two different dates now... frustrating but oh well. Telling me I’m nothing special and having a flippant attitude with me. Not acceptable. I’ll still go to Teters and so should anyone looking for plumbing but if you get a younger man helping you who clearly doesn’t look happy to be working...then that’s Dan and don’t do anything but find a part and pay. If you need to interact with him on any other level ask for someone else who wants to be there.

I couldn't be more sympathetic to the carnage of the winter storm effects on supplies which is why I overlooked the first missed date despite being assured that there would be enough for my request that shipped 4 days earlier because I was concerned about that exact risk.

I was frustrated on the second missed commitment but not as sympathetic as I also asked if they were sure it would be here on the 12th. If there was risk, then I would have mitigated it myself by searching other places but when a company says it will be enough or it will be there with certainty after I make effort to identify the risk to them, then I expect it to be there or updated if not. TWICE. Even so, it was still not enough for me to write a poor review of a company that normally does so well. It was the attitude. There are things beyond our control but a customer service professional is always in control of their presentation regardless of the circumstances. If anything, it's when things are tough that they need to exercise professionalism. Being courteous when situations are easy requires little of anyone. BTW.. I found it on Amazon now that I have the part number. It will arrive on Monday. You guys are great and on my next good experience, I'll update the star rating to reflect that. I'll just ask for someone other than Dan.

These people have some bizarre psychic abilities and some have photographic memories. This comes in handy when there are 5000 different makes of faucet parts nowadays. They’ve also began stocking more materials for the modern plumbing repair(I.e. ProPress fittings). I’m a plumber by trade but this place caters to the pubic also. Just make sure to bring the actual part or a really good picture with a tape measurement next to it. They are very through like that.

We had an issue with our shower and, since we’re undergoing snowpocalypse 2021, the earliest we could get a plumber to come out to look at it was about 6 days out. In hopes that we might be some to take care of it ourselves, we explained the problem to the gentleman at the counter (after going to three different hardware stores who had no clue) and he not only immediately knew what we needed, but took the time to explain to us how to change out the parts.

This place is manycore and they should not be in business. The good review came from their own employees. This place is full of agitated men that want to sell you their plumbing parts and hope you will not return. It seemed they want to get rid of all old items. They try to sell you something you don't need. Once you buy, you can't return. I almost bought a faucet accessories that I don't need to fix my leaking valve. The owner is the agitated old man that lead the clan of agitated men - the most rude men I have ever encountered. Please use Ferguson, ACE, or Elliott's to buy your plumbing need. Hey old man, you want to sell your place? the store need new management and re-train their employees attitude!!!

If you need an unusual old faucet part or a new style part, they either have or can get it. Don't waste time shopping around just take a picture of your faucet or part you need and they will be able to get what you need. They don't sell junky knock off parts only the best!

These guys had my discontinued parts, saved me from a whole lot of extra work to get my shower back online.

I'd love to give these guys 5 stars....BUT....

They have parts that no one else carries in stock. They also know their stuff. Having said that they also have an attitude and ego that goes along with those benefits. I returned some parts today that were purchased 2 days earlier and they were obviously unhappy. Don't misunderstand, they did the return and never said a word but would not engage in ANY discussion or other assistance I was seeking beyond the return and getting me out the door. Multiple employees were keenly aware of what was happening and they were all in on the attitude and displeasure of me bringing the parts back. They could have had a happy customer that would have spread nothing but accolades about them had they just provided some basic kindness and customer service. I'm not looking for a friend but I am seeking knowledge that I mistakenly thought they were in business to share. This post won't matter as every plumber in town uses them. Maybe that's what they prefer, professionals over individual DIY consumers? Just be aware in case you need them for something only they can provide.

Update - Owner response is incorrect. Your staff sold me $250 worth of valve cartridge inserts to repair my leaking faucets but you did not have all of the parts I needed to complete the repair. The plastic gear on the end of the valve cartridges you do not carry in stock. So I called the manufacturer to get the gear. They sent me FREE OF CHARGE and without even asking all of the cartridge inserts and the gears that go with them. If you would have had all of the parts, I would have never called the manufacturer and you would have had a satisfied customer. But you want to accuse me of shopping around when you don't have all of the facts. I don't mind paying for good advise but I don't know anyone who's willing to pay $250 for an incomplete fix. Especially when they can get alI of the parts for FREE!

I had other parts to purchase (and tried to discuss) but no one wanted to assist since I was making a return. Instead of asking questions about my return and trying to provide some customer service, you all assumed I was intentionally shopping you around to find the parts cheaper and gave me the silent treatment. I was actually trying to just complete my repair and would have gladly paid you for the all the parts had you actually had everything in stock. BTW - The plumbing socket your staff sold me was not the right size either.

Love these guys. Got a fixture that didn't come from the HD's of the world? This store knows all and has got or can get replacement parts. However, today's visit was a little disappointing. The guy who helped me wasn't very helpful. He wasn't sure if the splash guard for the disposal would fit and didn't even try looking up the part even though I had a pic showing the model of my unit. I may or may not have the right part. Will be a real pain once I get the disposal disassembled if it doesn't fit. This was my first so-so experience in the many years I've been doing business with them. Will definitely keep going back.

When you needs something for old homes or any part quick i go to Teters. As a property landlord and investor I rely on making quick repairs. I have been using Teters since the mid-90s.

The gentleman at the counter was very helpful. Even though they didn't have my outdated part, he was able to talk to me about it and replace it with a newer part that will last longer and be better quality. I would definitely come back here for help and supplies.

These guys are great! Terrific customer service and helpful in making sure you get the right parts. I needed assistance with a shower valve and they made sure it matched my OEM shower valve and that I had the springs and washers. Thank you Maris and Teters! Not very helpful doesnt have the parts I was told on the phone they'd have. One guy, the youngest of them all actually did try to help. The others didn't care if you were helped or not. I'd give 0 stars if it were possible.

I had a plumbing issues in one of our bathrooms. When I explained to them they advised me how to fix it. I was able to fix in few minutes which saved me few hundred dollars. Highly recommend this store.

I went to purchase a Gerber hot faucet stem. The gentlemen that helped me knew immediately what I needed and quickly retrieved the part. I was astonished to say the least. The customer service, responsiveness and knowledge of the associate was superb!

had called ahead about a week earlier and got quoted a price of $22 for my parts before taxes but when they gave me the ticket it was actually 22.94. When I objected they told me that they use the rounding method. Am I mistaken to think that the rounding method for that part would be $23? Then when I went to try to talk to management about this I was accused of whining about it! These guys almost have a monopoly for faucet parts in this area so I guess they can do whatever they want to. You guys are what's wrong with the plumbing industry these days

The best in DWF. This is not a place to browse or putz around. This is a busy place, with busy tradesmen coming and going. As tradesmen, we are taking care of business, our business, so we can take care of our customers. The staff at Teter's are top notch folks with a level of knowledge I count on. Yes, sometimes they may appear to be less than helpful...to someone not in the business. But to me, that is just not the case. These guys and gals get it done, so I can get it done for my customers.

Best specialty faucet supply house in dfw. Im a licensed plumber and they are always great to work with. Merris has probably forgotten more about faucet parts then ill ever know. Great place!!!!!

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. I'm not a plumber and I went there with a broken water diverter thinking that they may have the replacement part or could offer advice to my problem. Not only did they not have the part, but they offered me absolutely no help or advice to solving my plumbing situation. They did, however, recommend me calling a plumber, which for whatever reason, they didn't know if a single plumber who I could call. They recommended me finding one on Google. Long story long, if you enjoy no solutions to your problems, the feeling of people wanting you to leave and wasting your valuable time, you'll love this place.

Don't waste your time at this store - This is not a "specialty store" regardless of what your plumber/contractor will insist. Customer Service is AWFUL, they're not open on weekends (it's 2019), and don't have a clue about anything or the products that are in the store. The employees are grumpy old men that need to hand over the keys to Amazon and Lowe's. Can't wait to see this place close!

I've been coming to Teeter's for decades and usually get what I need but today they really dropped the ball as for customer service. Mark's will be my only specialty faucet part choice from now on. Arrogance and condesending sales men talking to a highly experienced master plumber like a child is the end of the line.

First time customer, Soooooo much better than the the big bix stores. Had everything I needed in 15 minutes and guy who helped me was very knowledgeable and helpful for my DIY attempt at fixing the bath plumbing. Purchased, stems, seats, seat remover, handles, tub spout,shower head, etc. Would highly recommend and i’ll Be back...

Professional. Just got back with the shower part I couldn't get at Loews or home depot unless I ordered it and had a month to wait for delivery. If you can't find it at a store anywhere near you they always say go to Teters. It's the Santa's shop for plumbing.

Staff here is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. They don't mind answering questions and explain perfectly how to use what you're buying. They even listened to me complain about my useless plumber with an understanding look. Went here 4 times today because of my dumb plumber and they helped each time.

I took a malfunctioning kitchen faucet spray-head to Teter's to select an appropriate replacement. One of the salesmen quickly looked at it and said there were no replacements and that I'd need to buy a new faucet. A few hours of internet research on thread sizes and diverter valves let me buy the right part on Amazon for less than $30.

When I spoke to them over the phone they were really helpful and I was please with the great services they provide for me.

The place to go for plumbing parts that are hard to find. First you must understand that this place is a wholesale plumbing warehouse. They cater to plumbers and plumbing companies so don't expect the royal treatment as a DiYer. Make sure you know what you need before buying something, they hate doing returns and will absolutely let you know about it. It reminds me of the Seinfeld episode in which George is buying soup from Yev Kassem and asks for bread.
